BAMAchips Xcalibrator 2 Tuner (Arizona)

Hey guys! It's been awhile since Ive posted here. Been busy working on my Taco

Anyways, I was cleaning up my room the other day and found my BAMA tuner under my bed, haha. I had it for about 2 weeks before I got rid of the ranger.

I paid over $400 for this and wanted to know if anyone wants it?

Name: IMG_1777.jpg
Views: 1227
Size: 130.5 KB

I would let it go for $210 shipped. Or $200 local pick up

I take paypal

Here's what it was tuned for. You DO need to get it sent to a tuner to make it work for your specific truck and mods. I know it really opened up the power on mine. I had fun with it!

BamaChips Custom Xcalibrator 2 Tuner (BAMA-X2) = $399.00
Make and Model Ford Ranger Edge
Engine 3.0 V6
Model Year 2001
Transmission: Automatic
4 Digit Calibration Code SRS1

Mod List JBA Headers w/ EGR, JBA EVOL Exhuast, K&N FIPK 2
Premium Fuel Octane 91

Did you return your truck to the stock tune before selling it?

Its VIN specific too so it has to have new tunes written for it. Just so potential buyers know, still a great price though!

We'll my truck was actually given to a friend, who then turned on my back and sold the truck without my consent. So somebody is out there driving on a 91 race tune

But yea I remember now it is vin specific. So it will need to be reflashed for the next owner. But still half price is a great deal.

Once you send it to a tuner it will be okay on any truck with an obd2 port I believe. Correct me if Im wrong. I havent been up to date with the ranger stuff.

So if it is locked thats

+$200 - tuner
+$150 - unlock
+$150 - 3 new tunes
---------------------
$500

You can get a brand new one for alot less.

I dont want to mess your thread up. I am interested but just want to make sure we all know what we are getting.

You should be able to tell if its locked or not by plugging it in the computer.

With my experience with mail order tunes it costs 100 for a reburn with about a 10 day turn around and whatever shipping is. Might as well spend the extra 100 and buy a new one.

I think you get emailed tunes, you don't have to send the actual tuner off.

I looked on bamachips webpage and i know they offered the Xcal3 for 399.99 but its not on there anymore that i could find. Make sure its NOT locked because that is another $150 to SCT tunes to be unlocked then the $115 for the tunes from bamachips. The $115 is for the three tune pack, but yes the tunes are $50 a tune through bama.

side note i found this..don't know if it will work on our trucks but seemed really cool if it does!!

I can see how you think your getting low balled but if you look at the cost it takes to get it to work on someone else truck. If it is indeed locked then its $150 to unlock, $15 to get the vin changed to the new truck and if the person who buys it has the 4.0L $115 for tunes. Now the $150 for the tunes is on the buyer so I won't add that in, but $210+$150+$15=$375. A new one with tunes is cheaper.

Let's find that Ranger!

By the way, Doug's customer service sucks, I went with Fred at Rogue Performance because he actually answered my questions and provided service. Plus he charges less per tune. $75 for 3.
