Billet Grille Insert - NY

I am looking for the drop in Billet Gill insert for a 2007 XLT. I have a chrome H-bar in great shape if someone wanted to trade. I can find the Billet Grille online pretty easily but most require cutting which I want to avoid.

Any advice or sales?

I think you need to find someone with an 04-05 grille and trade with them. Then get the billet grille insert. Or if they already have the 04-05 grille with the billet grille in it, you win x2. Then you don't have to cut your grille up.

Ha, I was just reading your posts about oil Ryan.

So they don't make a Billet that I can just bolt in place of my current grille? o I have to modify the grille mounts or the current grille?

I am relatively new to exterior mods...

I believe with the 06+ grilles you have to hack up the H-bars, and if you aren't careful, it will look like crap. With the 04-05, you just have to remove the center part of the grille, leaving the outside surround of the grille to attach the new billet grille insert to. I'm sure someone would be willing to trade you. If I were you, I'd get a color-matched grille surround from the 04-05... looks like you have DSG (dark shadow gray)... then get ur billet grille in polished aluminum or brushed aluminum... whichever you think would look the best.

Yea, my plan was the polished aluminum, I like the look of the chrome upfront but the Billet Grille looks much nicer IMO. I really wish I ould find something to just bolt in there. Maybe talk to a custom accessories shop nearby. They have been helpful with other things and are relatively nice to my wallet.

I do like the idea of an 05 swap with the color match though. Just need to find someone with that Dark Shadow Gray.

Good luck... also, call your local junk yards. Might have some luck there.

That ad has been removed. Which means it was probably exactly what I wanted for like $10 and in mint shape. That's how my luck usually goes.
