Custom Fog Light Switch LED Conversion (KY)
I couldn't see any way to use the OEM bulb holder & keep the wire/resistor inside the switch body... for the illumination light anyway... unless the LED dropped down inside the switch body for the resistor to set inside.
The ON indicator would be easy to keep everything inside though.
This way, the factory bulb holder can be used & easily changed if you decide you want a different color fog switch... or if the fog switch goes bad, you can swap the LED holder to the new one.

Ah ha, that's how I did my first mod.
Only problem is that if the LED burns out, you gotta de-solder everything & start over from scratch.
Actually, one of my fog switches still has the LED soldered to the contacts.
Using the bulb holder makes life a little easier for guys who don't want to send me their entire fog switch to mod... I can just send 'em out a modded bulb holder.
BTW, when do you have the time to come up with those LED mods of yours?
Those headlight/turn signals & tails are gonna be wild

Yea,
It's kinda one of those "pain in the butt" mods, especially if you just have one or two to do.
After a few dozen, I've developed a pretty good system.
Plus, by the time you buy the LED's & resistors, a solder iron & mess up a few bulb holders... I can't blame anyone for not wanting to do this mod themselves

$1k for LED projects ??

Holy underwear Batman!
I thought my $150 in LED's, $200 worth of heat shrink & $300 in crimp terminals was a lot.
... but if you ain't got the right tools, you can't do the job ...

Bumping back from the dead with an update:
Finally have some pics of my ON indicator mods. Nevermind the use of defrost switches, I had a bunch of them to use for testing.

As you can see even in a brightly lit garage, they're pretty darn bright.
This mod requires internal mods to the switch. Unless you have access to a good soldering iron, I don't suggest trying this mod yourself.
PRICING:
For a fog switch (tested) with the ON indicator mod in your choice of colors: $15.00 + shipping (USA) (Canada may be a little more shipping)
Buy the ON indicator switch mod & I'll do my Light Bulb Icon mod for just $5.00 more (your choice of colors).
