dual colour LED door lock indicators
so as some of you know, i have recently put LED door lock indicators in my truck. I am just checking interest to see how many people might be interested in this item, as i think i may be able to turn a profit from it... these indicators hold a solid LED light where ever you put them on your truck, but are designed to fit perfectly in the door pin bezel and wiring is the right length for that. The kit will allow you to use 3 colours, red, green and blue, or have the light off, in any combination you want, in either the unlocked or locked position.
what my kit would include:
all switches and wiring required to complete the conversion on 2 doors.
access to my install information.
bezels to make the LED fit perfectly
you can also wire it differently to make it flash on and off, however, i will not be providing the supplies for that, as they are quite a bit more money, if you wish to have your flash, contact me and i can describe the process to you
keep in mind that for the chrome pop up pop down door pins, that some places sell, they want $15 for them,
i'm thinking i'm going to ask $30 for these, shipped anywhere in canada/usa thoughts? too much, too little?
for those of you who do not know what i am talking about, check this thread out

wiring is simple, when you get the kit, it's going to be assembled, all wires will be labled as to what they do and where to hook them to where, if you install the switch where i did, the switch will be wired for green on unlock, and red on lock, all you need to hook up is a ground, which will go to a bolt, just loosen the bolt and put the wire under it, tighten back down, and the other will have a connector, which you put around a wire coming off of the rearview mirror switch (if you have one, if not you will need to find another power source***) once you are done that, glue the switch in, test it out a few times, and put the door back together
*** i will be looking for one in the passenger door, when i do my passenger side, as it obviously doesn't have a mirror control

So if we wanted a diff color can you do that?
I'd like red for locked and blue or unlocked.
So the kit you have now is a driver door setup, and you're working on a passenger side one.
Will you be selling both as set as well?

the 2 doors will come together, so for the price, if it is 30, not sure if that will be the final price yet, but it will include everything for both doors
the lights that are being used, are a tri-color led, they emit blue, red and green, (and of course clear when off) you can use any of those 4 colour choices (including clear for off) in either the locked or unlocked position, depending which of the 3 wires you use. they will come pre wired for red for locked, and green for unlocked, but you can change it very simply, to have blue replace either of those 2 colours or you can have no colour, and any 3, so your options are blue and green, red and green, blue and red, clear and blue, clear and red, clear and green, using either the first OR second colour for locked OR unlocked...
you guys following me so far? or should i make a youtube?

Ok, I WILL be making these, I just bought all the wires and connectors I will use, all I need now is the LEDs, resistors, and switches, once I get prices for these items, I will re calculate and post the finalized price... The cost of wires, connectors, shrink tube, and such was a lot more than expected, so the price will probably go up a few

i should clarify, the ones i have made have nothing wrong with them, they just don't look as professional as the next batch will be, the wires are just random colours, where as i bought wire today which will be the actual colour of the light it will activate... this is really the only real difference, the connectors on the new ones will be slightly better quality, but the differences will make no difference in how it operates
if it is paid for in the next hour or so, it will be shipped out tonight $30

The lock rod is completely removed, the led is glued in place in the door skin, and the switch is glued next to the loch mechanism, using an arm that the lock rod used to connect to, the switch is spring loaded, so when the arm goes down, it pushes the switch down, when it comes back up, the spring in the switch pops the switch back up
I had a little bit of trouble putting the passenger side in, mainly the wiring, my constant 12v wasn't giving me constant 12v, so I had to run a new wire from the fuze box, I don't anticipate you will have the same problem, but you might
