L1224R LED tail light conversion kit: much better than stock! (IL)

The kit comes with everything you need to convert your stock (or aftermarket) tail lights to L1224R LEDs. These are the same OEM LEDs that are found in OEM LED tail lights. The lighting is much more red and vivid colorful than dull-orangish/pink looking bulbs that come stock on all rangers. These bulbs fill up the entire reflector of your tail light with brighter than stock vivid LED lighting. No LED plug-in available on the internet will give the same results as these. Many RF members have bought these, so just ask around.

Kit includes:
2 L1224R's
2 Mating harnesses
2 Sockets to modify to so you don't need to modify your stock harnesses.

Price is 70$ - payment by paypal. PM or post here if interested.

Everything will be color coded for easy installation. I provide full support with this mod, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Here are some photos of what you can expect.

Some photos of other users on RF who have purchased L1224Rs.

These also give excellent results with Darkly tinted tail lights.

You can also use these to give a red lightup to tail lights that are clear. (to stay street legal)

LEDs are MUCH safer than your stock bulbs because they turn on instantly, instead of the bulb needing to warm up, before it fades on slowly. These also use .2 amps of current, instead of the stock 2 amps that the original bulbs use (1/10th of the power useage).

I've never seen one fail, and I've lost track of the high quantity of people who have gotten them from me.

They fit in the stock tail light, you modify them to hold the L1224Rs.

It's just painted plastic really. Over the model years they were brown and you could see that from the outside.

So is this plug and play or what exactly do you have to do to get it to work?

You modify the sockets included and it becomes plug and play. Only thing you need to do is change the existing harness on your truck to the new one. It's very easy.

Ive got to say i absolutely love my L1224Rs... Very Bright..

They are very easy to do as far as the converting.
I will say on a stepside you do have to trim the fiber glass a little bit but thats easy too
Great price.
Great Buy.

Is there any additional diodes or electronic we'll need to prevent hyperflash with the turn signals?

I only have 1 set of these, and I originally bought them for my IX but I went a different route. 35$ if purchased with the L1224R's.
