You could just move the mirror to that side. It's a clip-on mirror. My gf complained about not having one so I bought it for her. I never needed one.

The colors should match. They came out of my 02, and nothing was changed for that year.

IIRC, it will work on 99-03. Someone else may be able to answer that with more confidence than I can.
