I am looking to buy a tailgate that fits my 05 Ranger XLT. I believe it is a styleside, as it does not have the stepside bed.

Mine has a chain welt in it. I am looking for one that is painted in metallic silver and is in excellent condition (no rust, or dents).

Did you find a tailgate yet? There's a salvage yard in Morrisville that may just have one if you don't mind a little drive from Oswego. The one on the Ranger I got my cap from was in excellent condition even thought the front of the truck was a mess. I'm not sure on the year but it was about the same age as our 05's. It's torreador red but you can paint it. Let me know and I'll give you the contact info.
