I always wanted to restore this truck because I always loved driving it. I have a 2011 Toyota that I am upside-down on and cannot afford to get a flex plate replaced.
Original motor overheated, blew neck on radiator, blew head gasket, learned water pump would only move water very slowly because impeller had no vanes. Sat too long, heads rusted so mechanic got a used (same as original) V6 3.0L that had only 70,000 on it. The truck had 140K on it at the time.
Had 3” lift kit on it when I bought it, can change oil without jacking it up.
Relatively new front and rear brake pads, slave cylinders, master cylinder
Tires have almost no wear
Power steering rack leaks and should be replaced
Typical noisy PS Pump
Typical noisy factory A/C compressor, cools quite well but system has slow leak somewhere since motor was replaced at roughly 140 kilomiles
Upholstery is worn as expected on a 20 year old truck
Dash could stand replacing
Front bumper needs braced to frame
Rear bumper frame could use some frame cracks welded if you want to pull anything very heavy
Any rust is surface only, no leaks, needs door hinge pins, Think I have new ones in the glove box, have door lock motor for driver side to install
Have new replacement front light lenses and turn signal side marker lenses to be installed
Radio/CD works
