'98 Diesel Ranger - Ontario

Just came across this on Kijiji... no engine pics but it'd be an interesting truck!

Looks nice. I've been kind of wanting my 4.0 to die now that I have another truck to drive. I would get right on the 3.9 Cummins bandwagon.

im confused about the engine. is it different then what is in the Top kick's? maybe im reading it wrong but when i see 4 in the engine description i think of I4. but then i see 5ton truck and i think of either the Top kicks or those small COE that 1-800-got-junk uses.

Not sure what all they came in but my boss' neighbour has one in his Matco truck... hasn't been a good engine. Already replaced it once!

I'm thinking about checking out the '94... would make an interesting project for that price and he's only like 40 min from me.

It'd be an awesome project. my cousin knew a guy in college that had a Diesel ranger like that, lifted on 33's and that thing was a beast. plus, its a 94, so I beam suspension FTW!

it seems like they are project trucks. as cool as they are or could be (lifted w/a D44,9" and some 33's) i wouldn't wanna get into someone else's diesel swap. who knows what they did to get things to work right?
