Want to Buy: 16" rims - NC
16" rims - NC
I'm looking for a set of 16" rims to put on a chassis I have. I got a set of 15" rims for it in advance and the rims won't clear the brakes. The rims don't have to be stock rims but they must be 5x4.5 bolt pattern. I would prefer stock 16's that look like either of these. Let me know what you have. Prefer to stay in NC if possible. VA and SC might be doable. I'm located in Cameron, NC. Forgot to put that in the title...again.

Car-part.com is how I found a rim I needed when I originally had a bent rim on my Ranger. I paid $109 for one. There is a similar looking rim that Explorers use and they have more of a tear drop and are actually 15" rims. I haven't seen many Explorers with the rims i'm looking for.
There's a nice set like your first pic on ebay right now and the sell is 180miles from you in VA and wants local sale only won't ship but might be worth a drive or meet him half way.
2006 FORD RANGER 4X4 STOCK RIMS - eBay (item 280602593171 end time Dec-18-10 11:14:52 PST)
I was on the same search as you earlier this year for my winter rims... I'd suggest calling the local used auto parts places and ask for rims 16x7 off of a Ranger, Explorer or B4000 and see what they have.
I found a set of 4 like your second pic at a local auto recycler off a 1999 Ranger and they were mint structurally but the plastic finish they used many years back makes them really ugly as it peels off. Worked out good though I paid $40 a rim cdn in my hands and refinished them using Duplicolor wheel paint and
No centre caps in the pics but they came with the rims

DEMON- If I don't find some with tires i'll let you know. I'm just looking for some with tires so I can roll the chassis around as needed.
ZX- Those rims are $109 at local yards and that's the cheapest i've found for just one.

if you just need to roll the chassis around you could use those crappy 14 inch rims from pre-98 Ranger with some bald tires.

oh I thought we were talking about a Ranger because the problems with brakes not clearing is with 03+ 4x4s that have 12 inch rotors up front. stock 15 inch wheels can't clear them so that is what I thought you meant.
