So I want to lower the rear of the truck to level it out. I don't want to remove the AAL since it helps make a stronger leaf pack, and I think dropping a notch on the shackles may be too much. I should have measured to make sure
I'm thinking about removing the stock rear block under the leaf springs, I think this will help smooth out the ride on the rear as well.
So the distance from the top of the tire to the fender on the front is 7". The rear is almost 9" and the stock rear block is 2.5"
If I get a lift block that is for a 1 inch lift and ditch the stock block I will theoretically still be .5" inches taller in the rear correct? Also, would a flat block work or would I need a tapered block?
I won't mind the .5" difference in the rear because when I pull a trailer or haul stuff in the back it will bring it close to level anyway.
Am I thinking on the right track? Or do you think I should just drop a notch on the Belltech shackles? It looks like from center to center it's about 1.25" per hole. So, 1 isn't enough, and 2 would be too much. But, dropping 1 notch may get me close enough. But I think ditching the stock rear block would still be a bigger help, just from what I've read other places.

So I went ahead and dropped a hole on the shackles, it didn't lower it enough, since it's a swing shackle the 1.25" hole distance doesn't translate directly to vertical height.
I think I'm going to revisit the block idea. I think ditching the stock block and replacing it with a 1" block will be the best solution

So Troy has been working on new seats for me and they're done. I don't have them yet, but I couldn't wait to start showing them to you guys. Full power for driver and passenger, and heated inserts
I'm just going to hit the highlights, I'll give you the link to check the rest out if you want
All the pics

Don't hesitate dealing with Troy, he's easy to work with and, as you can see, does awesome work.
He deserves all the credit

Oh I see. Congrats to you for the upcoming wedding. I am now on a stall with my truck after I but my coil overs as I just got engaged.

When I installed my Amp, I did it in about an hour total. thats with screwing the amp to the floor and cable mangement.
Plus, with the seats out, you can pull the carpet up a bit and hide your wires that way.

You're better off letting a limbless human help you than letting him install your seats. You'll end up with something worse than this
30 minutes to cleanly install and wire power/heated seats....LOL
even with non sport seats, you'll have to enlarge a few of the holes.
