sorry its been so long since i updated this. i just had a month off for winter break so its been awhile since i got to work on it. this is what i got done in the last 4 classes.

its sitting at what ride height will be with 33's. it ended up being taller then i wanted because of the front axle shock tabs i had to make. i might just leave it. not sure yet.

me next to it. im 5'5"

and my friend whose about 6'.

looks good but im telling you right now it wont drive good.

you have some serious caster issues right now. Your turning in the ground (negative caster) you need to have positive caster. Or the picture is just messing with my eyes.

zack, im aware of my caster issue. the caster is at 1* positive. i had it so it would be at 4* but that was before i made those tall shock mounts. i need to find a way to give me a few more degrees if i leave it at this height.

You could wrist the radius arms if you plan to leave it at that height. Or you could buy the Cage wristed arms.

ok, just making sure you are aware of it! i know your not done but i just wanted you to know. it might drive 'ok' with one but if you could get 3 more degrees.

maybe like Ryan said maybe see about getting those arms bent some.

ya, i talked to my teacher about my caster and he said 1* would work but he would like to see a few more degrees.

thats what i was thinking about doing. turns out my school has a pretty strong bender. iv already bent those arms some to line up perfect with my frame rails.

dude your build is sweet but your not even going to be able to run this thing on trails. it reminds me of coreys truck he build a huge truck and then he ended up lowering it 5 inches. i just dont see it.

Cory's truck was lowered because he wanted a better DD, not because it was too big. He wanted a lower COG and smaller tires for a better ride. Not because it wouldn't fit on trails...

/end hack.

ya downey wasnt saying that cory's truck wouldnt fit in the trails.. and in my opinion it looks better and more functional with it lowered.

to the OP- nice truck man.. what size rubbers are you planning on running?? 33's are gonna be toooo small i think..

Looks nice! It should be pretty sweet once it is driveable.

im not building this truck for the trails. the body is in too good of condition to get all scratched up in the woods. i built it tall because ill be taking it through the mud bogs around this area.

thank you. the tire size is up in the air right now. i really want to go with pitbull rockers but they only make them in 37's or 39.5+. i think 37's will be too small and 39.5's are way to big for a dana 44. i want to run 38's but they dont make them.

the only 38" grappler comes in 15.5 wide. that would be too wide. this truck is also my DD.
