I'm feelin lazy I just like KP axles because you don't need a new knuckle for high steer.. thats about all I know, I know I won't probably wheel hard enough to break a 1 ton ball joint..

exactly. Balljoint axles have stronger outers AND knuckles than the kingpin axles.. i doubt i would ever blow a BJ either!! and my axle is from a newer 90s truck so its super new and in great condition. warn hubs to

you'd be hard pressed to break a stock KP60 outer, I wheel with a guy with a 350-400hp 5.7L, 39.5 Iroks, stock 14bff/d60 and he ROMPS on that *****, he's only broke 1 stub shaft. 35 spline chromos would be indestructible in your truck, thats what you said you were gonna get right?

I had those axles until I traded em for a Front D44 built and a rear 60 -- I didnt like how there was no room for brackets on the drivers side between the pumpkin and the inner C...
i also made those knuckles high steer..so it can be done..there is a nice build on pirate with another ranger..guy made some nice looking arms for his high steer

lunchtime update: started working on gettin em under... the rear was simple, since the rear was a dually axle the spring perches were surprisingly the same width as the ranger! so the rear was kind of a bolt in swap! Threw the axle under and bolted up the U-Bolts (15/16 socket size). This stuff is BEEFY!!
Took apart the front, hubs, brakes, spindles, and pulled the shafts... im going to clean em up and re pack everything with grease before i re-install. I need to run to the JY to get U-bolts for the front. and go to the auto part store for driveshaft U joint, then i need to brace and burn in the shackle hangers... umm... ya. that'll do for now
