Not much of an update.
Bought a used 8.8 off a ranger (28 spline) from a guy whos over on TRS.
Then got a limited slip with 4.10's off a mustang guy on CL.
Need to set them both up
Going to be moving in the next month, landlord is not a big fan of porch drinking and/or louisville chugger in the front lawn.
Next place will have a garage, FACT!
P.S. Grease your poly bushings REAL good before installing on your truck, or have a loud radio.

With as much room as you have between the two tires, I would recommend running a bar from the bumper to the horizontal bolt down bar in the bed (one each to either side of the tires). Trust me, your tires will move even when strapped down. Those extra bars would help to add structure to your rear bumper and would keep your sidewalls from getting cut by the exposed sheet metal along the edges where you cut your bed. Just a suggestion.

Matt brings up a good point. kinda like my setup, where I have tube on each side and one down the middle. Cause yes they will start moving like a **** when your bombing some wash. Maybe add a hoop behing the tires and have some bars that go down to the bumper to keep the sides in and one down the center. and if you are trying to keep a flat bedspace when you dont have your spares on, just make the hoop etc. bolt on.
my setup,if you can picture it. and a crappy paintchop of what I kinda mean

im going to add something to split the tires....not sure what yet but i need to build the front of the bedcage for the kings before i add anything...
One idea im toying with is the weld in tube connections that people do for engine crossmembers to make them removable for engine repair. I do want to make the bed cage removable because i need to finish welding the bottoms of the tube joints.

i do like your idea interceptor, but i want to be able to run the tailgate for ***** and giggles really.
It doesnt sway that much when i hit shitty roads at ~40mph....but i know theres more crap when offroading....there's apparently an old golfcourse turned off road park here in Houston that i want to try out when i mount up the shocks. Might try to see if more Houston people would also want to check it out.

Got some mustang rear brake brackets out the junkyard this weekend. Going to put them on the ranger 8.8 I bought and the 4.10's with the limited slip. Hoping I can get some new calipers/rotors this week so I can start mocking that up and setting the gears soon.
Need to get the new axle and longer brake lines and limit straps underneath it before I can get the kings on....truck is already too bro as it is, no need to use only 6 inches of a 16 inch shock.
