Hi guys I'm sure someone has probably been on this and maybe 🤔 I can get sent into the right direction I got a 03 ranger 4x4 4.0 5spd and then I have a 03 ranger 2wd 4.0 automatic that I want to swap the cab from the 2wd to the 4x4 truck my ? Is if I took the cab and swapped it to my 4x4 could I take a automatic transmission with a manual transfer case and just bolt it up and go vs swapping the wiring harness clutch pedals cutting the floor for shift lever and all the other things that come along with the whole swapping the cab thanks in advance

 

First off you're going to need a 4x4 automatic transmission because you can't bolt a transfer case to the 4x2 version you have now. Once you find that, you should be able to do as you're intending if you can find the manual transfer case. But whether the 4x2 computer you have will like the 4x4 is another story. You may find that your speedometer doesn't read correctly when in 4x4 amongst other issues that may arise from the truck not "seeing" that it is 4x4.
