Yeah that is what I was trying ot think of. Those things would be insane if they somehow made it under a Ranger!

Yeah but their flippin' cool. 7+ in gearing with all the extra gears and ***-tons of clearance.

Either way I'm exciting to see what's happening.

had you broken any axle parts pervious?

I think he is on his like 2nd or 3rd set of 5.13s for the 8.8

So he wants to put in the 9" but to match the width just run the full width D44. He got both axles from me for free...

wow, he was going through that many ring and pinions?

was he installing the gears himself?

2nd or 3rd set of gears.... wow, wonder if that's an install problem... my 8.8 has only had one set of gears and it is lincoln locked...

scottD has installed quite a few sets of gears. i cant say its not an install issue as i wasnt there, but i doubt it.

stRanger are you runnin 5.13's?

lets just say the 5.13s didnt like my driving style on pavement.. the first set i thought i may have had an install issue. i checked the 2nd set for 3 hrs be4 the first drive. i just heard the common noise for sheering teeth a couple wks ago. still have not takin the cover off to inspect.. its just stuck in my head to go with the 9" now.. iv done approx 45 gear installs in my life.. this is the first time iv ever had a problem with any of them. so i have no idea whats goin on. pretty sure the 8.8 size cant handle my foot with the 5.13s. (i love smokey burnouts on pavement)

I will be at beards sometime in the afternoon. I am meeting a guy around 9am to pick up a quad then I will be back around 1 or 2pm

yeah Scott does not have problems installing gears, every set i have helped with have gone as planned with no issues.

its gonna look good full width

do you have pictures of you mesh patterns, just out of curiosity. theres got to be something we're missing. maybe a tweaked axle?

I think i saw on pic on TRS with a gen 1 ranger on portals. It had flex like i never thought possible.

if you know where to get them portals and rocks it thought were about the same, but portals are hard to install
