Looks good for the first time. You were kind or restricted by the putty, i think fiberglass could of gotten it smoother. I don't think my big CB will fit there, i'll have to figure something else to do with it when i get my full console.

It was also my first time using Bondo or anything like it. That's one reason I didn't go with a big Cobra that I wanted, didn't have a good place to mount it.
Looks pretty sweet. I'm doing somewhat the same thing, but got stopped up here in the process (It got cold outside - my workshop when working with this junk).

I still need to resin where the void is (the white areas) and maybe fix to the left of the Whelen box, it needs a little help, not much. Just need to resin the rest, do minor bondo / filler, paint it, and its done.

Ya, you'll just have to do more cutting.
