Cummins swap started
So you own brentons old truck?!? Someone told me they thought they saw it out in Loganville the other week!! Not too far from me, if you ever need some help I can come lend a hand I live out in Cumming.. just hollar!
i know the truck's whole story. obviously he does too if he's on here.
everyone here knows who built the truck and that it is built extremely well

Your correct, he works for Blue Torch now
Actually, the truck has been posted on craigslist numerous times by different people. One of them was a friend as a joke, but it's been listed 4 other times, all saying different things. But to clear the air, I never took Brenton's credit for this truck. He did a great job on the swap and I've had no serious problems with anything he did to the truck. Other than the things that I have changed, I give him full props on the build.
I personally put it on Craigslist so that I could possibly get a wrx, but that went out the window after I figured I could finance one and buy a cummins. So now i'm stuck trying to find an STi that I wanna finance so that I can start removing my engine and everything. So I'm soon to have a lot of parts for sale, so keep an eye out.
But as far as axle's go, I've been looking into a dana 60 set up? I need to do a lot of research, but if it can hold the torque of a superduty, it should be ok for me. I'm not looking for huge HP numbers, I just want that extreme torque. So I'll be making a call here soon to figure out some spring rates to hold the weight up front and them start fully boxing the frame. This project is gonna take some serious time.

I actually live in Loganville. So ya, it was probably me. I actually just made a trip to Durhamtown this past weekend in it and the truck did absolutely amazing. So I'm not tearing the truck apart till' I get ALL my parts together. The trip was way too much fun.

The only work beeing done right now is removing the foil (aka old front end) off the 2500. I owe one to my friend Carl though for letting me use his shop to do the tear down. I started out extremely enthusiastic, but this builds gonna take a while. I dont want any huge problems down the road.

Horse power isnt the factor that snaps stuff, it is torque that will blow shiz up.
There is alot of tech on Pirate.
This is the 14 bolt bible.

14 bolt, 10.25, dana 70 all good caniidates. id use the 10.25 to keep the speed sensor in the rear and find a 86-97 F-350 Dana 60 for the front (perferably 86-91 which had king pins, 92-97 had ball joints).
lol good luck seems you started something i one day planned to do on my truck. that cummins isnt even half turned over yet specially the twelve valve. dont listen to them stacks on a cummins is a need be just dont get them straight up for the rain water to fill your pipes. good luck i want vids of this
Can't wait for this build up, small truck + big torque/black smoke = school-girl giggles.
The truck is at a stand still right now. The s*** is way expensive and I've got other things to pay for at the moment. The cummins is out of the donor vehicle but I have yet to figure out what to do about the suspension in the front. Too many options....lol.
