Dewey Apr 16, 2015 07:13 PM

Thanks. Hopefully the body lift will happen this weekend

Fordzilla80 Apr 16, 2015 07:24 PM

I'm totally jelly of your interior. Need to do mine soon.

The SEM paint is the trick. Its so easy to touch up. Its self leveling and doesn't run

Yea, I've heard nothing but good about SEM. Who did you get your paint from?

Dewey Apr 16, 2015 08:20 PM

A SEM distributor a half hour from me. You can get them online too, but if you buy 7 cans like I did they give you a better deal

Fordzilla80 Apr 16, 2015 08:35 PM

I know we have a local automotive paint and supply store here. I bet they can get it.

PROOF!
Took about 14 hrs total thanks to the stupid back bumper. Everything else went fairly smoothly.

Biggest trouble other than the bumper was the passenger core support bolt. But with a 1/2 impact it took care of it (snapped off after hammering on it for 5 mins)
Hopefully I will have the spindles and shackles done by tomorrow evening

Fordzilla80 Apr 18, 2015 08:03 PM

You gonna put the shell back on or leave it off?

Dewey Apr 18, 2015 08:04 PM

I'm definitely putting it back on...... after 500 miles. I actually miss it a lot.

00GreenRanger Apr 18, 2015 08:04 PM

Why does the back look so much higher than the front?

2"AAL. You don't really notice it with the topper on. Its a couple hundred lbs, so it makes up for all the lift they typically give, plus I ditched my spare

My truck is like that. I have a 1.5" difference in height from front to back. I would love to ditch my blocks, but then I'll be .5" lower in the back.

How many springs were in your expo pack? I think mine only has 4 total (top with bushings, 2 middles, and flat overload) I'm beginning to wonder if they'll make enough of a difference to ditch the block

Mine were the same. But I didn't just bolt the Expo leafs in. I cut the bushings off of the Expo spring, and kept my original Ranger top leaf. So now my springs are Ranger top leaf, cut expo top, 2 expo middles, and expo overload. I was running an AAL too, but I took that out because it was way too much.

My truck still looks way off.

Dewey Apr 18, 2015 08:30 PM

I'm thinking I'll just keep the middle 2 and the overload with the AAL and what I've got factory and see what happens

RLong31 Apr 18, 2015 08:33 PM

I was about an inch and half or so higher in the rear.. took out the 2.5" blocks and added the expo leafs (4 pack with about 120k on them).. Now I'm about 1/2" taller in the back.

If you end up being a little lower.. add the belltech shakles? Getting rid of those blocks makes it sooooo much better.

bravetitan24 Apr 18, 2015 08:35 PM

Success!

..... At least somewhat. Get the rest of it done! :approve:

Fordzilla80 Apr 18, 2015 08:38 PM

I'm definitely gonna ditch my blocks soon.

I ran shackles for about 20 days. Didn't like the way they pushed down on the springs so I took them back off.

I think I might put my AAL back in when I ditch the blocks. I doubt my AAL is still holding 2" of arch, so it should make my truck level. Hopefully.

Dewey Apr 18, 2015 08:45 PM

I've got the shackles going on along with the AAL and expo leafs. I will be deleting the block. I need to get this all together so I can know how much longer I am going to want my SS lines to be. I'll just do the shackles tomorrow and do the leafs and block delete when I do my disc swap.

RLong31 Apr 18, 2015 09:14 PM

You're gonna love having the discs after you get those 35's on. Did you end up getting what I got or something different?

Dewey Apr 18, 2015 09:20 PM

I'm going the pacific customs route. Its a hair over $200 for everything, but I'm not sure about front lengths until I have the spindles on
