Just by putting that rear tail light panel in black, it makes me think that the whole car would look nasty in black. What are your plans for the paint when all the body work is finished?

I had thought about that but decided against all black. The taillight panel will be black but the rest of the car will be Deep Impact Blue, a 2013+ Ford colour.

The hood stripes will be black too, like they were originally but they will only go from the turn signals in the hood back to the windshield.

That's what I'm hoping for! I'm still undecided on whether the vinyl top will stay or go. Right now I'm leaning on keeping it but we'll see what happens down the road!

When I bought my house a garage was also a big factor. Mine is a single car garage as I bought a semi-raised. I can fit the truck backed in against one wall and the quad is behind it. All with the garage door closed. I'm in the process of insulating/vapor barriering it and the drywall will be purchased in the next couple weeks. I have room for a bench but things get tight if I need to have both doors open. I'm gonna have to think IKEA stylz when I mount cabinets and storage.

I've seen Adams garage and I know I've mentioned I was impressed about it before. It's as long as my bus. Lol. So far kar Luks Gud Adam.

my buddy's dad has a 64 buick gran sport, gorgeous car. red with the black vinyl top. last winter he had the car repainted and the top yanked off and it looks sooooo much cleaner and meaner now! really changed the attitude of the car. it went from an old mans cruiser to a car that looks like a true muscle car now

Not much of an update but my axle is almost back together... just need to paint the ends of the axles, reinstall them, put my new vent in and run the two new brake lines.

Doesn't look too bad considering this is what I started with:

A bit of an update... axle is completely done aside from new calipers/rotors/pads. No sense in putting them on now though, I'll wait until the car is ready to be driven!

I picked up a 5.0L EFI engine, T5 5spd transmission, Painless wiring harness, a couple floor panels, gas pedal and a passenger side torque box today!

I have an Explorer intake to go on when I get that far. The engine and trans will NOT be completely blue like that when I'm done with it!

I stripped everything off the engine but still have the lower intake and heads on it. Everything looks great so far... brand new clutch and found a rebuild tag on the transmission!

What I can see of the cylinder walls looks good from the bottom but we'll see what it looks like when I get the heads off. It's nice and clean under the valve covers and no shavings or anything odd in the oil pan.

Thanks, that was the plan from the beginning but I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon!

Thanks!

I haven't done much work on it lately with so much other stuff going on but but hopefully I'll get back to it soon. I did pick up a brand new Dynacorn full quarter panel for the passenger side though!

Still working away at little things that aren't noticeable but I picked up some more parts on Kijiji today for an awesome price!

I've found a '67 Shelby GT500 style fiberglass hood, valence and side scoops!

No sir... going darker for sure. I never picked up on the length difference between the normal hood and the Shelby hood until now. It's pretty much 4" longer!

Small update...

My shifter handle showed up and I'm very happy with it!

It's a 1970 Mach 1 Hurst shifter handle that has been cut, redrilled to the T5 mounting pattern and then rechromed. The shifter **** is similar to the original one but has a 5 speed shift pattern instead.

Had a minor setback on the weekend too. I was finally getting to putting the driver's side frame rail in but I noticed that the shackle mount wasn't installed correctly just before I started welding. My new one just came in today so I can keep going... glad I found it before and not after it was in!

What it should look like:

What mine looks like:

Just won an eBay auction for a set of gauges that will be mounted in the stock cluster...

These gauges:

Brand new in the box for $405 with free shipping to the border! I just need to sell the fuel level gauge and buy the proper 73-10 ohm Ford one.
