A welded front would be gnar with the live axles haha

I just worry it wouldn't drive right with live axles and I would hate my 4x4 when driving and using it in the winter and sand dunes

Mid Travel Mtn Ranger....

It'd be a pain to turn in both 2wd and 4wd. I know the options are slim, but a welded front end is not the way to go IMO.

A welded front end would be useless IMO. Would not be able to turn and it would kill your tires.

Torsen is still the way to go, it's really a great option for the front, and they are a great value for the change in performance.

I'm just going to leave it open till I can afford a torsen l/s up front. Hate to do it twice but I'm on a tight budget for now

Front locker was the best thing I did to my truck when it was still IFS. If you can get a lunchbox locker for the front then do it. When you decide to go with a full carrier replacement later on like the torsen then you can sell the lunchbox locker easily.

Cut bedsides, selling old bumper and hitch. Run some c channel between frame and use my left over tubing for a simple rear bumper.

Bolted up my Kartek/BTF modded drop hangers and new rear cross brace today. Gonna fab a simple bumper for now. Lost a little height in back but I knew I would

Looking good, some deavers will help bring the rear height back up. I have been debating extending my drop hangers so I can ditch the 1.5" block I have in the back.

I like the C channel you added to the rear frame rails. I planning the same but am going to cut out my spare holder add in a new cross member and mount my 5 gallon air tank in after adding 2 cross members.

Goal is some deaver g50 springs a fleetside bed and topper
I'm going to remove the spare carrier and add some better braces eventually and throw in some plating. That crossmember definently adds some strength and the flipped shackles help with the ride

That would be a pretty sweet set up. I feel like adding a fleetside and a topper would really complete the mtn ranger look.

Went for a drive up the mountain yesterday, watched some elk, cruised around. Nice to just enjoy my truck right now and just have fun

Considering a different route on some of my build since I've always liked the idea of the sleeper look on an off road truck. May buy some edge flares for front and rear. Do some serious trim work to cover tired when flexing and swap the front fiberglass for stock sheet metal and do some more trimming to the fenders and flares. Just not happy with how the fenders have held up over time and stock will fit much better.
