That's kind of my idea just to simplify some parts on the truck. Also I want to run the snorkel inside the fender instead of out the top

 

So no updates but now I have a place to wrench inside. Pretty happy about this

 

Now on my to-do list.

Haven't done much with the ranger besides driving it. Installed a energy suspension transmission mount, new plug wires and gapped my plugs to work with the screaming demon coil, and rerouted my exhaust. Going to repainted the bumper and make a bezel for the exhaust exit.
Other than than been working on the house and the wife and I had a son a month ago. Priorities are different now but it's a good thing

thanks guys, haven't been on in a long while, haven't done much to the truck lately but I am going to get my 4x4 back next month and I scored some explorer cv axles, they are abit bigger than the rangers where the stubs go into the diff allowing alittle more travel so a simple upgrade for sure but it will help.

 

WHERE DID YOU BUY YOUR BUMPER/SKID PLATE???

 

built the bumper myself, most all ranger prerunner bumpers are custom built just so you know.

on a different note got my dana 35 front axle regeared with help from one of my good friends. so nice to have 4x4 back right before the snow really gets here.
haven't done anything else with the truck in a long time, but that may change after winter is over.

 

mainly just spending time with my wife and Dylan who is 8 months and doing great, that and working on the house to make it more of a home and not a disaster like I started with

Finally got a bed for my project. Will post as I go

 

Pretty clean and straight inner structure and tail light pockets. Also going to build a custom tailgate I believe.

 

You are still planning to put your step side panels on the fleet side bed right?

 

Yep finally going to get it rolling. Going to try and make it factory looking if possible

 

 

Had some fun wheeling Saturday, need to make a custom trans crossmember as I smacked it on the granite wall

Always enjoying the truck, the trip got me re motivated to move forward and make some changes clearance wise underneath and to get the bed swapped. Tires tucked into the bed sides many times

Thought about selling my Ranger to fund a big-turbo Audi A3 but this thread reminded me how much I love the trails here in AZ. Thanks for motivating me to keep the Ranger a little longer.

Any time it makes it all that much better when I can provide motivation for others. Just keeps the wheels turning for me. I will have more updates soon. Like plated rear frame crossmembers, rear sway bar, bed progress pictures and some changes to the exhaust and a one off tailgate built off a Wrangler aftermarket tire carrier
