You could probably fit dual resi's; I don't see why not. But if you get shocks valved correctly one is all you should need.
I love that Camburg setup, I'm sad that I have a 4x4 and there's no easy upgrades for me other than what i'm doing lol.

I actually thought about that today. I'm going to make some kind of inner fender protector to block stuff from getting into the engine bay some and I figured i'd paint or at least try to.

Haha, definitely. I didn't expect it to be so sweet. I think I will get a set of em after I get the rear end and some other stuff finished.

Both front Fox shocks are on and sway bar is removed. I lowered the front via torsion bar crank (used to be full crank) to about 1" or less higher than stock. It rides like a dream now. The new shocks are stiff when driving normally but are smooth over any bumps/drops and somehow are stiff enough to minimize body roll on the road compared to my old shocks (Rancho RSX's). I did some fair speed (upwards of 50mph) off-road driving yesterday a friend's farm roads and some slower speeds on some bumpy dirt roads and the shocks performed very well...the rear end is still stiff and bumpy since it's pretty much all stock, but that shouldn't be for too long haha.
Well, here's some pics I took yesterday:

Replaced lower ball joints and inner tie rods, so I decided to paint the inner fender wells too so the ugliness didn't show because of the fender openings. Also washed and waxed so I figured i'd snap some photos while it's clean:

The rest of the mods will be postponed for a little while...i'm in the progression of getting a Subaru WRX (keeping the Ranger too) to save some $$ on gas and so I don't wear out the Ranger driving it all the time, it's getting sort of old and worn too much daily driving it. I just replaced the lower ball joints and tie rods, and the shop had to put on an alignment kit on the upper a-arm mounts to get the alignment to be acceptable, so I just dropped $500 on getting my Ranger up and running. Now I have some CEL codes I can't seem to fix, but I keep trying things and reading on here how to fix.
truck looks AWESOME! what color green is that? love the bumper. id like to get one since theres very few bumpers out there for the ranger. first prerunner bumper i actually likes. and on the bump stops, what is their purpose? ive never seen them on trucks or heard ppl tlk bout them round here where i live.

The green color is the Woodland Green, that's the only way I know how to explain the color ha.
The bumper is Dixon Bros Racing...website is dixonbrosracing.com
The bump stops are there so when the suspension travels all the way up, there is a cushion surface to hit on instead of bottoming out the steel a-arms onto the frame or other surface, which could/would be bad. They're sort of like shocks, which smooth out the ride, but only work when the suspension arms travel almost to their upper limit point. Every vehicle has bump stops on the suspension, look at your suspension...there's black rubber square bump stops where I put in the red pyramid style ones, and on the rear suspension there are black rubber ones on the bottom of the frame rails where above the axle.

My fenders probably don't stick out as much as a stock 4x4 with small tires lol...Like look at this truck and how far the stock fenders stick out:

I'm also very soon going to strip the powder coat off the bumper and leave it the raw steel color and clear coat it. Then when I make a custom rear bumper i'll just leave it raw also and clear it.

So I made a new rear bumper and trimmed the bedsides to "prerunner" bedsides. I'll post some pics of the bumper soon. I painted the front and rear bumper a new metallic charcoal:

Well; I've built my Subaru WRX to the point that it is too much of a track/autocross monster to daily drive and now I have time and some $ to spend on upgrading the rear of my Ranger. I have a stock Ranger axle with limited slip ready to put on (I currently have the stock open rear end), and have the bed and almost everything off the rear of my truck to continue the mid-travel prerunner project and make it my daily driver.
OEM shocks are shot and I had to cut them off to get them off the oem mounts...my shackles are rusted apart. I have Kartek drop flip shackle hangers and need to order shocks and limit straps once I get to the point to measure the correct shock and limit strap lengths. I have stock leafs with an extra leaf that I added in the past and got a set of Fabtek add-a-leafs to get my arch back and make it a smooth ride...my oem set of springs are literally flat and ride stiffer than my track car Subaru. I'm also planning on making a decent rear bumper with a built-in hitch mount and a clevis mounting point or 2.
Frame is rusted very nicely so it's going to get sanded down and undercoated and probably welded boxed in a few places as well as get some welded in reinforcements. I'm hoping to get about 16" of useful travel with the shackle flip and some Camburg shackles without using a bed cage...we'll see what I can fab up.
Stay tuned for the photos...
