My 05 XLT

Could have sworn I had one of these build threads on here already...but I looked to update it and can't find it. I'm on so many different forums, its hard to keep track.

Anyway, I bought the truck in April of 2010, 99% stock. Only thing done to it was the window tint. I bought it with 33k miles on it, and its nearing 58k now. Its a XLT 4x4 Supercab with the 5 speed and 4.0. My only regret is not finding a Ranger with 4 doors...but it doesn't bother me much.

Seats still wet from it being detailed at the dealer.

I was going to sell my Bronco when I bought the Ranger, so I started switching over mods. Sound system and CB went in first.

Some cheap floor mats, support decals and niteshade were next.

Wheeled it...once.

Had a black Husky toolbox on it for a few weeks, and decided it wasn't clean looking enough. Plus I wanted a low pro. So I sold it for 100 and picked this one up for 80 or so.

Big ol' sound system took up too much space, and I ended up keeping the Bronco so I put the 2 12's back into the Bronco (along with the CB because its my wheeler) and put in a single 10" sony xplode.

Next up was the 3" BL.

Then some wheels and tires. 33x12.50 Duratracs and 15x8 MB72's.

Took the spare tire out, and took the side steps off to see how it looked.

Decided I liked the step sides on better, so I bolted them back up. Also picked up a used Manik brush guard for cheap.

Single low pro 10" didn't have enough bass, so I picked up two 12" Alpine Type E's and a much smaller box. Also put a FX4 LvL 2 shifter in. Equipped the truck with a cheapo radar detector and a TomTom.

Yesterday I put in a LaSota 91 Performance tune as well. Helped throttle response out. And I hauled some shiznit.

I'm trying to find the time to get the exhaust done this week. Also need to do gap guards still (lazy). Other then that, the truck is pretty much where I want it to be. MAYBE this summer I will put a Protech headache rack on it.

Thanks. Exhaust. I'll probably straight pipe it. My friend has his done and I like it. If I ever get tired of it being so loud, i'll change it up

Exhaust is going on tomorrow morning. A friend of mine (LordofWar) had his straight piped and I always liked the sound. A bit of droaning at highway speeds, but overall it sounded great. So thats what i'll be going with.

I'll be doing duals, with some nice shiny chrome tips out the back.

Did exhaust today. The muffler shop accidentlily put on a Flo Pro Super V muffler instead of the straight pipe I asked them to do.

However, i'm very pleased with the sound. I'm glad they messed up.

Did the exhaust awhile back. Single in, dual out Flo Pro Super V muffler...two 4" chrome tips out the back. Love the sound and look.
