My 2000 Turbo Diesel from Brazil
My 2000 Turbo Diesel from Brazil
Hello RF! I've been reading this forum unregistered for a while, and i already participate to the --- forum. Now i decided to join here too.
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger Supercab with a 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine.
And i have her for about a year... Made a few mod's and have much more things that i want to do.
Enough talking, lets present the truck.
Here it is the day i bought it:

The first mods are:
Side exhaust

Turbo Gauge

Blacked Wheels

Tinted windows

My mascot (Gift from my girlfriend) It's called Rusty

Explorer Overhead Console

Interior removed

Cleaned

Sealed with acoustic blanket (Floor, roof, all 4 doors, firewall, back panel)

Exterior door panels

Interior door panels

3" PA Body Lift
Shifter extension

Bed removed

Fuel hose extensions

Rear bumper brakets

Back in place

Crown Victoria Police Style

A very rusty cab bolt

Lifting

Block in place

Leaning (thats the scariest part when you do a BL by yourself)

Back to normal position (finally)

Almost finished

BL Finished (i need to take better pictures now)

After the BL i did this:
3rd Taillight Blinker

And then washed her and put her posing for pictures!
My father's montero is tiny next to the Ranger! HAHAHA :p

My to do list is:
-Radio bezel, OHC, Diff cover painted white
-33" Mud Tires
-Crank the t-bars a bit just to level it
-Aux lights
-Custom box under the rear seats to place tools and stuff
-A decent stereo
There's more minor stuff to do, but basically is it.
Hope you all liked it :D
Feel free to comment and suggest things
Thanks and sorry about the bad english (i'm brazilian).

Thanks guys!
My truck does on traffic about 23 mpg, and on the road about 30 mpg.
It has 115hp stock. Mine has a bit more, i gave a twist on the fuel pump, must be with 130hp now.
I would like a V6 around here
But with the gas price on brazil it's totally impractical.

Thanks man!
I learn english playing video games
LOL
It's the same engine that equips the Land Rover Defender.
It's called Maxion 2.5 HSD on the ranger and 300TDI on the defender.
But it's exactly the same engine.
It's known for being very reliable (defenders have to work in the african deserts, so....) and cheap to repair. Almost no electronics on it. Just pure mechanical
Thank you! The engine is made by MWM International.

Sometimes i miss the response and the disposal of the petrol engines, but that beautiful sound of the diesel and the turbo makes all be better.
