so i am new to this site and new to rangers so i thought i would post up my project. i have an 83 single cab 4wd. it has a 2.3l and 4 speed. i picked this up from my old boss for nothing, he was getting rid of some stuff so i took it off his hands. the engine had a bad cylinder so i tore it down and found that the number 1 and 4 cylinders had broken rings. sent all of the motor pieces to the machine shop and had it bored .040 over and a valve job done. also had a roller cam installed. just got all the motor parts back this week so i am planning on putting the motor together sat. other than that the truck is mechanically sound they replace motor mount, brakes, clutch and place a weber carb on before the motor took a crap. the body is 3 diff colors so is going to require paint. other than that it is a good lil truck.

got some work done yesterday. the bottom end is complete and i got the head on. also got the water pump and fuel pump and started to put the timing pulleys and belt and stopped there.i ran into some parts issues so will get to the parts store tomorrow and get that taken care of. plus it was like 120 outside yesterday so i went to cool off at the river and have a couple cold ones. i will post the pic a lil later once i download them off my phone.
