The Ranger Of Danger

Well, in case you are wondering about the name, it was given to me in high school... I went to a pretty "city" school, and needless to say I raised some cane, lol so I got the name. I'll fast forward from the beginning with a few pics...

Here she is the week I got her..stock and extremely boring. added a bedliner and tool box

got rims from a mountaineer

New wheels, 31s, REAL mirrors, 06 tails and Hellas

Cut my 60/40 seat to a 40/40 and got a shorty console. Made a shifter bezel bc i hated the crappy plastic one, took out my tape player and did a CB/CD double stack

This weekend...big changes coming...overhead console, lighted mirrors (for the gf lol), 01 flares....

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments...

The CD/CB....
Basically, I got some bracket material and bent 2 90 degree turns in the metal, and drilled 2 holes (one on top and one on bottom). I used pre-existing threaded holes on the CD and CB and screwed them together...the CB basically piggybacked off the CD and the CD held everything in place...

The RCM cover...
Well, I removed the stock cover/bezel,

and made a mock up with cardboard and duct tape

then went to plywood

and once i saw it fit, I screwed it together, carpeted it, and put the shifter back.

then I trimmed the lower shifter bezel that is screwed to the floor to keep it flush...dremel

then, the last part, diamond plate that I took to the shop and put it on the break to get the shape I wanted, grinder to smooth the sharp corners, and then I traced the factory boot pattern (on the inside) from the factory bezel so that it would hold down the boot. Finally, sheet metal screws to hold it down.
