So. Put my Sub and Amp in the other day. Pictures to come as soon as i remember to take them.

I'm running a JBL Monoblock with JBL GTD 10D sub. 1100 Peak with 275 RMS. with a custom grille cover over it, because i don't want to break it.

However. After hearing that sub, i want to go nicer. So i'm looking at an Infinty Kappa 100.9W 10" with some Infinity REF6432CF 5x8's in the doors. the sony's i had in there aren't pushing enough.

So then i'll have to get a new Headunit. I don't know where to begin there.

don't get an infinity sub they constantly break down.

look into the alpine type R. its got great specs, reviews, will outlast, and outperform the infinity.

Its well priced too, run that bitch bridged.

I work for the Company that owns Infinity and JBL.
I can get a top of the line JBL or Infinity for about $100. and if it breaks i can just take it to work and have it fixed.

I still wouldn't even buy one. The components are great but their subs suck

Hence why i went with the JBL subs right off the back.

But yea. I'm looking at some Kappa's or Reference series components.

Lifted.

Needs T-bars cranked up. Sits 40" tall in the rear and 38.5" in front.

More later.

Loaded my tune onto it today as well. Thing rides real nice, needs and alignment and the bars cranked up a bit.

The tune makes a pretty big difference from what i can tell, it was super easy to do as well.

I've caught the need for speed bug.

I think i'm going to buy me a v8 Mountaineer and do the V8 swap. I've been looking around and if i don't want to wait any longer, the junkyard can sell me the whole drivetarain for a pretty fair price, They guy said he'd even deliver the truck to my house for a few days to pull it all out. But i'm not in a giant hurry as I don't drive it everyday.

What year are you going with? The swap for yours will probably different than mine, I had looked at a 97 Mountaineer

Ideally like a 99ish. Something in those years, i think it was only like 96-2001 or something that they made that truck. I'm just keeping an eye out. I've read a few threads, but i don't think the swap would be too hard.

The fuel system is the problem for a 97 Mountaineer to an 01 Ranger. I made a thread for it a while back. I'll paste the info Bob posted in it when I get home
