thanks,

seats are schweet. it hugs me like a fat chick!

the horns a bought from a guy in ft myers, and the solenoid is attached to the horns (check the pic again). so i'm running one tube straight to the solenoid. then a 1/8" tube from the tank to the cab (you can see wrapped around the big tube). the gauges i picked up off ebay (kinda ricey, but it looks clean). the pod is from AUTOGUAGE.

did corbeau have the sliders mounting brackets for your truck or did you have to make them? Do you live in volusia?

they have a bracket the fit a previous year. i think 2001. all but one hole matches up. i'm missing the bolt that goes on the rear inside of drivers seat. its off by about 1/4 inch, and i don't want to modify the bracket. you'd have to call the company with measurements and ask them. 4wheelparts called for me, and corbeau matched it up as best they could.

as for the harnesses, they are bolted down to the floor in the stock seatbelt positions. i neighbor that owns a mustang shop said my only option for a "safe halo bar" is to do a full cage. which is slightly out of my range.

i live in palm beach county. zip- 33467

let me know if you want pictures.

Just a quick update. I got rear ended a few weeks ago, so the rear suspension is finally getting rebuilt. Everything should be installed within a week or two pending i have time.

The seats look good and are a great addition, but you may want to rethink the harnesses. Harnesses are dangerous in a non caged truck. If you were to get into a wreck and the cabin were to cave in, your body would not be able to shift like it would with a traditional shoulder belt. It will also make extraction much more difficult.

I have also read that it is dangerous to have the back of the harness attached below the seat. With the belt mounted low, the belt will tend to pull you down and compress your spine vs. hold you back and into the seat. The harness will also stretch more in an accident with the extra webbing required to mount it to the floor. Just some suggestions for what it is worth.

Spend all day saturday working on the truck. c-clips broke last thursday. and i also installed the bedcage. deaver springs and camburg shackles are on. just waiting on 4wheelparts for shocks. they shipped me coilovers first time around. it always seems like a waiting game with them. samething happened with my brother, they shipped the wrong rims for his colorado.

Shocks came in early from 4wheelparts. picked them up yesterday, and started the install early this morning. just like 4wheelparts, the shocks dont fit. first time they sent coilovers, now the resi sticks out and doesnt fit in the cage. so i get the 90 degree fitting, and the general manager of 4wheelparts took them into the garage and we install the fitting, and recharged the shocks with nitrogen. they even let me used their tools to install the shocks at their shop. so they ended up pulling through for me as usually. they even price matched Offroadwarehouse and refunded me $100 on the shocks.

chopping the bedsides with a sawzall this weekend? definitely downing to 33's on the next set of tires (33x1050, i like the pizza cutting look). beard limit straps are on the way. and bedsides are on the list of things to do. mcneil racing has stepside bedsides, so i'm thinking about that option.

HOLY EFFIN AXLE WRAP!!! i've had this metal on metal grinding for the past week doing 25-45 miles an hour and went i take right turns. tear apart the axle and find that the axle seals and bearings are fine. the verdict? the axle wrap is so bad that the drive shaft is hiting the heat shield on the stock gas tank.

so can i take the shield off? put a fuel cell in the bed? or just say **** it and replace the drive shaft when it comes time to replace it?
