Alright so I’m trying to do my first swap and I’ve been at it for days trying to figure out wether or not I’ll be able to buy and swap a 4bt Cummins into my 85 ranger. I know there’s a hell of a lot more I’ll have to put into and change, but I would prefer not to have to do any frame or firewall modifications for the swap in witch I haven’t figured out yet.

We can help with the Ranger parts and wiring, but 4BT is a totally different animal that has its own requirements specific to engine and transmission
There are several Ranger build threads at the 4BT site

 

So I did the bt swap in my 04 ranger. No firewall mod but there was to the floor board.
