other sites give the date and time in hours and minutes (june 19, 2010. 8:31am)
ours is just 39 minutes ago, 1 hour ago, 3 days ago, 09-09-09... etc.
is there any plans on changing this or is it not really that important.

I really don't see it being that important but if majority wanted it changed I'm sure the admins would look into it.
could a poll be started? it would help out more with the hours. for a post that is past 1 day, it's not very acurate and if someone goes into a thread they could establish a more accurate timeline of when work was done or what time someone left for a meet.
wow, sandwiching two treads into one is pretty sweet.

At one point this forums did switch to the other time layout and a lot of people complained about it so it got switched back to the way its always been.
I have to say I do prefer the current time stamp as opposed to the time stamps used on all the other forums.

Just always liked it better. To me the full time stamp looks cluttered.Originally Posted by morris
ok. why the preference?
fair enough. thanks for the imput.
maybe the admins could do like they did with the two different backgrounds. a 2009 one and a extreem one.

I changed it once and almost got killed over it. So, I believe it should remain :)
Also, its a global setting, so regardless of theme that is how the time / date stamp will output unless it is hacked.
