Attachments.....
Attachments.....
WTF is up with the attachments
When you upload them, it just comes up with a link, not the picture.......whats the point of uploading them here if it wont post the picture?
I say that needs to be fixed since all the contributors have paid for the attachments feature....

ummm......what is the point of having attachments if we have to upload the pictures, click on the link, copy the address, and then post the IMG tags to the address
why not just upload them 1 time into photobucket and then copy that already tagged up link over?
i dont see why it can't be like it was before....there are other VBulliten boards that have that feature..

Nope even if your logged in they don't work unless you put the links between tags
i was logged in when i posted the attachments......still didn't see them....
I think I've got it partly figured out. It has to do with the file name.
If I use a program that rescales the images and it produces a complex file name like "2008-02-12 (Medium) 01.jpg" then it will not display usually. If I rename the file "picture1.jpg" then it displays automatically.
Something in the code is parsing the long file names and getting confused and failing to see that it's a .jpg somehow. The old board didn't do that -- but this one does.
The solution for now is to rename your attachments before uploading them with a simple name. That's what I'm doing now to get them to show up.
