Deleting Viewed Threads
I thought this was fixed awhile back but I can't find anything on it and don't see an option.
But I don't want the threads I have looked at to disappear if I click since last visit again to refresh. It is annoying to look at a thread then want to see something again and have to go search for it.
Ryan fix it lol

I thought this was talked about before as well.
I liked having the thread there after I viewed in case I didn't respond right then, or needed it there to remind me to look at it again

Just click on Thread Tools(upper right of first post in the thread)
Then click on "Subscribe to this thread"(posting in the thread also subscribes you to it)
When you want to find these threads again, click on "Quick Links"(top control bar), then click on Subscribed threads

It was just for the ones you wanted to return to.
Go to UserCP(top control bar)
Select Edit Options
Scroll down to Thread Display Options
Select Default Thread Age Cut Off, for 2 days, 1 week, 10days, ect.............whatever you want
Don't forget to scroll down and "Save Changes"

Thanks for the help Ron but I don't think you are getting what I want it to do.
Then for the most part in on my phone in the mobile app so I don't have the portal option.
It used to not be that way so maybe they can change a setting on the admin side unless the latest software doesn't let them.

Here's the deal. The setting was to keep any threads you had not read in the past 5 days in the since last visit list. We were utilizing automatic read marking so if you read a thread it would disappear from the since last visit list until a new post was added.
I just changed it to see if this might work out better. This setting has some caveats as well though. It is based on your previously active session. If you leave the forum long enough for your session to time out, one hour of inactivity, then all unread threads will clear from the list. However, while your current session is active then threads will not disappear from the list even if you've read them already.
It's kind of a lesser of two evils thing, since there are drawbacks to both. We just have to see which setting draws less complaints and go with that.

Too bad you can't make it a user setting.
Remember we used to have a few options when it came to seeing recent posts. There was the since last visit, then 4 hours ago, 24 hours ago etc. That always worked well.

If you go to Today's posts under quick links it will show all threads that have had a post in the last 24 hours, even if you've already read it. That won't help on the mobile site though.
You can bookmark the full link for that on your phone which would take you to all posts in the last 24: https://www.ranger-forums.com/search.php?do=getdaily
Unfortunately IB no longer allows us deep access to the site templates or I'd just add a shortcut to it on the mobile site.
