Green Wire on 2.3 Liter

Hello everyone! Long time lurker 1st time poster. I have recently acquired a 2001 Ford Ranger XL with a 2.3 Liter Manual Transmission that has been setting since 2011. I have replaced the Fuel Pump and the fuel Filter and have it running. I will be doing spark plugs, wires and coil pack this weekend. But there are some vacuum lines and a green wire that is cut. I have been looking but I can't find what this green wire is for. My AC only blows through the defrost so I know that is supposed to be a vacuum line somewhere detached. I will chase that down along with the code I am getting P1537 that is apparently because the hose on my IMRC is broken.

So 2 questions for now.
What is the green wire in the picture for
and what size vacuum hose will I need for the IMRC fix. People talk about it having a special bend in the bottom but can I use just regular vacuum hose and make it longer to make that curve where it connects to the bottom of the IMRC.

Thanks in Advance,
Jeremy
