since they have redone the classifed section a post cant be viewed until it is checked by a site moderator -- well i have made a reply to my for sale thread almost over a week ago and still hasnt been posted. If youre going to make rule make sure one of the moderators gets online and reviews these posts in a timely manner.

I ended up pming the guy about the possible sale but thats not the point..especially when i have a thread open

 

great part of it is most of the mods are never online anymore. it sucks i know, i just dont list things for sale anymore.

 

I think we should keep the mods that we do have, but just add a couple more that are online enough to moderate the way they should - or heck, add one or two for just the classifieds ...

 

I agree if you don't have the time to do the job anymore step down and give it to someone else.

 

I mentioned in another thread that I lost a sale to a few people on here, because someone local or a member of another forum picked up stuff I've sold despite the fact that they responded first on R-F, but I didn't see the reply until it was too late. It sucks cuz I'd rather help out people on here first cuz I've been bailed out a few times from good deals from good people

 

yea i had the same problem, i pm'd a mod and had the rules explained to me, but it dont make too much sense

 

ive had the same problems with the classified section. i just gave up on it. You get more money form the suckers on fleaBay anyway... lol

I am in no way complaining about ranger-forums though... i love this site! if ya cant run the classifieds(dont have time, whatever), fine. i can live without em.

 

I just find it easier to just PM someone, which I think is the point of doing this anyway. I only ever see FireRanger and ScottG on the site anyway. I can't even remember who the other mods are. Oh yeah RNGPrerunner too.

I don't know why Bob is a mod, I've seen him on here twice in the last couple months.

 

so why dont they put up some new mods ... ive only been here a few months but i think 04blackedge, Fx4wannabe01, and thesoundmaster are great canidates ... i see those guys post all the time and they always have quality information and wouldnt get a power trip out of the job

 

I would be happy to be a Classified section mod, I'm on almost the entire day. I doubt there will be any new mods anytime soon though.
