New Forum Style and Avatars

So the new forum style will have to grow on me, I like the old style much better, but change is sometimes needed, except for the case of "you know who"......the "guy" who's in charge of "you know where".......but that's a topic found in the War Zone. LOL

As for the avatars though, BOOOO!!!!

I liked my 300x150 avatar. I changed it today and got some **** poor little square box, WTF??!!

Yes I read the other posts (locked ones) regarding this, but I just wanted to point out the suck involved with this.

There's got to be a way for the members with contributor status to have the larger avatar pics. I know the $$$$ is for the entire site performance and growth and NOT just for the avatar, but the larger mailbox and larger avatar were the 2 MAIN reasons that I joined the contributor status list.

I guess we'll see where this goes in the next few months, as my contributor status is coming up for renewal.

Just my personal opinion and 2 cents, those who don't like it, you know what to shove and where to put it.

Yah. Don't try to change your Sig either. It's been reduced as well.

As far as how to make the large Avi's work, it's simple really, just put them back at the top of the post, instead of on the side. With them on the side, I end up having to scroll side to side to see entire posts. This is something I hated about RPS, and now it's here. So I stick with the old format for the most part, and I don't get headaches.

sure the large ones were great but look at Brenda's avatar, that is pretty big compared to 99% of any other forum out there.

you just need to crop it differently.

the sigs needed to be reduced, like your and many others they are way too large and out of control! lol

I dont have that scroll issue?

I honestly dont care as much about the avatars.

its now the advertisement we are getting at the top even if you are an contributor, which i thought was something that went away if you where one.

dont plan on doing it again if I am gonna have advertisements.

Because its obviously something that bugs A LOT of people who paid $$ to keep this site running. I'm all for compromise but yall voted against sig images so I don't think these threads are gonna go away until yall do something about it.

Sig pictures are stupid. Thats just more stupid pictures we don't need. I do agree that the avatars should be bigger. But I cant complain as I am not a contributor anymore and probably will not be again.

fox shocks are not cheap. its a legitimate kit that someone could buy if they wanted. He is giving a killer group buy to those in the coilover conversion.

As for the new layout, its staying, I would say 75-80 percent of the people enjoy the new look and are fine with it. We dont need HUGE avatars, 144x168 is pretty large as is compared to a lot of sites.

As for the ads on the top. I think it is pretty cool to have our vendors up top, I mean eventually that vendor list will grow and it will benefit us as members, with discounts and group buys. Not to mention vendor giveaways and alike.
