newbs posting in threads....
that have been dormant for a long *** time.. like a year ago.. and also people not using search button.. i think we need to have a way that when we go to post a thread we have to search for it first i dont think it exist but damn its annoying...

its weird how small things annoy some people, and others arent even phased by em.
newbs are newbs. they'll get the hang of it after a few posts.
and why is it bad to post to a dormant topic? if a newb were to post a new topic on the same subject as the dormant one, they'd probably get chewed out for 'not searching' so theyre screwed either way. i dont think its a big enough problem to be a buzzkill, but whatever.
however, if there were a way to disable stupid topics from being posted, that would be a solution... of course this topic never would have made it in that case ;o)

Seriously, it's just gonna happen, so why worry about it? There is no way to make people search than to grab them by the ears, and force them to use the button...

But being serious now. If we were to get rid of all the re-posts and bringing up of old topics wouldn't we almost get rid of any topic out there. Let's use exhaust as an example. Let's say someone wants an exhaust that makes it loud - one topic. If another person wants one that is not loud but gives performance that's another topic. If they post in the same one it could be considered hijacking couldn't it. And some of the old threads that people bring still apply to this date even if it was a year ago.
And then again I'm just rambling as I do in the summer when I'm bored.
