New Site Contributor
Hello it is me again. I broke down and contributed to this great place for Ranger lovers. All the problems are fixed now. No more reloads, froze screens, PM issues, slow loading times. I am happy to say I do not have to worry about any of that stuff any longer. The site hauls the mail.
Thanks for the help gentlemen,

Aaron there is an issue with the Ads that we are working on. Many people have had the issue but we cant seem to isolate the problem. That is why the site loads slow and you have to refresh.

I know its not a problem coming from r/f but you shouldn't have to contribute to use the site. It's driving people away. I have spoken to another member who will not be on here anymore due to this problem and I'm sure he isn't the only one.

I understand that advertising pays for the site and keeps it free to those who don't want to or can't afford to contribute, but does there have to be so much?
Isn't there like highlighted words that you scroll over Or ads between posts? I remember someone mentioning one or both of those.

Why not disable the ads until the problem is fixed or solved? just an idea. Thanks!

I just logged out and it was loading ok on my phone, I think the one page took a little longer but by the time I scrolled down all was good. I was right too, why are there hilighted words? "Truck" was green and pulled up a dealership ad.
Also, the larger one under recent threads and the one that is after the first post are just about contributing.
This place is great but I agree, all those ads are gonna drive people away and the site is gonna be less informative. I've seen members already say that we've lost good knowledgable members.

Some of you guys seem to think we get paid to make the site work. All of us are volunteering our time. Making post and thread after thread complaining about the site load times isnt helping. We are trying our best to figure out how to fix it. If it was a simple fix why wouldnt we fix it? Trust me we are working on it. Please be patient.
This solution posted is just the easiest so he is sharing how he fixed it. Im not forcing you either way. 100% your choice.

Yes, as said before, if the issue was known it would already have been fixed. We understand the frustration, but the fact is there are several ways to work around the issue as mentioned in multiple other threads. Becoming a site supporter is obviously just the preferred option for both parties. It gives you no ads, larger avatar, R-F decals, and much more, and helps the forum with operating costs. Constant threads about the slow load times and turning other threads in to a discussion of the slow load times is only serving to escalate the issue.

For everyone else, this was the best way for me to outline the issues and some resolution here. I don't have much else to offer.
