Sig pictures

Hey all,

I did a search and couldn't find an explanation of what I'm looking for.

Subscriber Info

On this page it shows the signature permissions as such:
700 Characters
Including BB code
Image BB Code - Yes
Smilies - Yes

By "Image BB Code - Yes" I think that means that allows you to use the [img] code to link to a picture hosted on a site like photobucket. However when I look at my User CP and attempt to add a picture, it does not reflect these permissions. Even with my Level 1 subscription.

Am I missing something here? Do I need a certain post count before this permission is added?

Apologies if this is answered somewhere that I'm not seeing. Mods please lock this thread if so!

It does let you use img code but I dont think you can do it based on your level. Typically if you want a signature image you have to upload it. signature upload is for level 2 and 3 users.

I think that img code would be used for signature but it can also be limited. Might be an error on our part.

Truck sounds nice. If you have pics up, I'll have to check them out when I'm on a computer.

So was there any update on what that permission means? I promise I'm not just trying to be cheap, just looking for a bit of clarification.

Thanks!

I think he knows that. I think he's asking why level 1 says it allows BB img code for signatures. What exactly does 'BB img code' entail if it does not allow signature pics.

I mean level one does in fact say you are allowed bb img code in the permissions list......

To me it sounds like level one should have permissions to link to a sig picture rather than uploading it to RF.

BB code is not the same as adding a sig.

BB code img tags are for say adding smiles or offsite / onsite image where as sig uploading abilities are a bit different.

It can be very confusing, even for me.LOL Hence why i use text

Sorry, been sick and was awol for a bit :p

Ok, so I guess that means you can use bb code to add images to your POSTS not your sigs, and in order to have sig pics you must upload them, except the bb code info was in the signature permissions box, so... Ah screw it.

I'll just upgrade to level 2. :)

I've never tried using BB code for signature images myself, but it sounds like it is limited to smilies if you can't get it to work.
