BamaChips/Doug MIA?

Ok so I ordered a Xcal3 from Doug comin up on two weeks ago, haven't seen or heard anything back from him yet, and the phone number is always busy. Can't seem to get ahold of him via email at all. Anyone have this issue before? Is this normal?

Have you been billed for it yet? You may want to try contacting the Jusenes guys. i think they handle the customer service side of the bamachips now.

yeah the best time to call is after 8 but before 10am...lol i went down there a few mnths ago. I talked to matt on both occasions and he's really cool. Doug is so in an out everywhere....he comes to huntsville every once in awhile. I can find out next time he's in town or we can go down there together. i should hopefully be gettin mine back here soon from being unlocked.

I hear nothing but horor stories with Doug. Sounds like a guy who cant manage his time or his customers.

I had been emailing him a bit before I ordered it and he was great about answering any and all of my questions on some stuff, but now since the order has been in (and yes paypal took $409 from me) I can't seem to get ahold of him. I know he does great work and I don't mind waiting a few weeks but I at least would like an update or an email back. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Summits awesome quality and next day shipping lol.

Josh how long has he had your Xcal for? I hope mine gets here sometime this week or else we may have to take a trip there...

I sent back to yessick the guy i bought it from on here. he's gettin it unlocked for me!! He just received it sat.

Ahhh gotcha, I misread that post. I tried calling about 4 times today, it rang 3 out of the 4 times, each time it took a different amount of rings to go into a voicemail that you cannot leave a voicemail in.....frustrating. The other time it was busy. Still no response via email. I'm pretty patient, but not even getting an update via email or a status update on my order on my site is pushing my patience.......

Just an update for you guys, still nothing, i'm still in the same place I was when I ordered the dang thing. Paying Doug a visit this week sometime.....I think proper compensation for my time would be a dyno session

Sucks man... the automotive aftermarket is full of poor customer service. Hopefully it all works out. By the way, I had a tough time with bamachips as well last year. Got ahold of them on the phone, but it took like 5 months to get my XCal shipped.

5 MONTHS!!???!! That's absolutely crazy...this is exactly the reason I am going to visit.

It's always busy.......either that or you get Dougs voicemail that says email him its faster, and it hangs up on you so you can't leave a message

btw i sent mine back to yessick and he was wonderin how to unlock it. i tried callin bama but no luck and when i do get it back unlocked im not goin to doug at bamachips!!!

I think all he has to do is return the stock tune back into that truck. I'm not positive on that but I believe that's all he needs to do.

See that's another thing, before I ordered it I was contacting him at least twice a day, and he was responding back to my emails with a few hours. This went on for about a week with all the questions I had with everything. But once the order went in and my $409 was out of my account and into their pocket he was no longer there. I guess this is something that everyone should know in case they are planning on ordering from them.....I'll keep you all posted when I go there as well.

Is this just with whole programmer/tune packages or tunes as well.

I am gonna order tunes from somebody soon and would like to know if he makes them and emails them quickly.

Well just the tunes can be emailed, so I don't imagine it would take this long, but you never know.

Update: I went to call them again this morning and went to the website to get the phone number and IT IS NO LONGER THERE!!!!!! I'm about ready to just ask for a refund and go elsewhere.....

dang thats really weird. i personally never had a problem when i ordered my tuner. he even called me to verify the things i wanted on it were correct.

I second that.. this is really out of the ordinary for him, I could call him anytime and he would pick up and answer asap. I got all my go fast goodies from him and all was shipped quickly. He is a great guy, he must be busy with his granite business.

Serval people incliding myself have been tryin to contact someone there with absolutley no respnse.Your phone is always giving a busy signal like the phone is off the hook ALL DAY LONG! There is one person who has just paid you over $400 5 MNTHS ago and not recieved his merchandise. Just wanted to let you know your not doin to hot on customer service and several people are starting to notice. NOT good for business!! You have people wanting to buy or lookin to buy your product, so your basically turning money away everyday. Not my business of course but just wanted to let you aware of the issues that several people are having with your company.

Josh it must be saved in your cache on your browser or w/e on your comp because I'm not seeing their number at all on mine....but thanks for the number.

I did send him another email today and also emailed Bob Jusnes of Jusnes Modified because I know he works pretty close with Doug. We will see after today, I appreciate you taking the time to send that. I really don't think one email response is too much to ask for....
