Ever Bought From These Guys?

If you were ever considering it, DON'T! I bought a lift kit from these guys:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

The box arrived in bad condition. My wife, who works for UPS, noted that there was no packing material in it at all. So the corner seam was split. There were no add-a-leafs in the box. That's when the real fun started.

There is no phone # to give you any real person to talk to. You have to do it by email and they are terrible about answering. The first response said that they probably fell out and that Fedex had them at its warehouse. The second response said that I would have to do the complaint and the followup. I called Fedex who told me that was not true. It was the shipper's responsibility. I filed a claim anyway, but if they pay it will go the the shipper.

Four days and nine emails later they have done absolutely nothing. All of this despite paying an extra $2 for shipping insurance. I am so ticked off at them! I don't treat people like that and just don't appreciate it.

So I filed a complaint with Square Trade. Nothing from them.

I guess my only option left is to file a fraud case with ebay and with PayPal. They have good feedback, which shows me that they don't do this all of the time. But if you ever have a problem, it appears to be unsolvable.

I do have my front spacers. Maybe I'll just get some blocks for the back for the time being and switch them out if I ever get them.

OK, just needed to vent, but to also warn other potential buyers.

Dunno why it's doing that.

Updated link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

98.2% positive. But if you read the negative it's very telling. Seems the guy has grown to the point that he no longer feels he has to take care of the transactions that go bad.

Don't buy from here. Not worth the risk.

Started the paypal process this morning and ebay fraud report is next.

is that your feedback that he claimed there were 2 shippments??

this guy or whoever does enough sales that you'd think its his main income, how does he not have time to answer the phone for others and not respond to e-mails. How do people get away with **** like this. and I've been to my post office and UPS a few time and never seen and offer for 30 day shipping......lol

No, that's not mine. The problem is, if I leave negative feedback, he seems to always do the same for the seller. I have 100% positive feedback. I don't want to risk it at this point. But you are right, he seems to be doing some things that are unethical to people if the shipment doesn't go just right.

That really sucks. It's too bad that people are allowed to get away with that. I hope your efforts with Paypal dispute resolution and Ebay fraud reporting bring some good results.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong page, but I did find a phone number to contact that company: 801-949-0716.

Good luck.

I didn't know you were lifting it! heck yeah! Josh had some trouble with the coil spring spacers on his truck, they couldn't align it.. but hopefully you can find a better alignment shop in Katy. Oh, and I think you'll like the ride quality with blocks as opposed to add-a-leafs- which really stiffen up the rear end.

Sorry to hear about the troubles with the eBay seller, there's a few sorry ones that give it a bad name. Hope it all works itself out, I had a claim thru UPS that they handled pretty quick. I hear paypal is the worst about that kinda stuff though..

Yeah, I heard about Josh's troubles. I do already have the alignment cams in, so hopefully I'll be OK. Only one way to tell I guess.

I hope that between paypal and Fedex something will be done. I know we're onto Christmas, so it'll likely be a while. I have a friend with air tools to help me do this real quick, but he can only do it between Christmas and New Year's. So I'm hoping it can be resolved.

Why can't we get Underdog to stock this stuff?????

OK, the latest...Finally got a response from them: "Just return it we do not wish to do business with you." "Sorry you must now return the item to us for a refund."

I wrote them back a one word response: "Happily!"

Now the story goes to the next level. Since I protested with PayPal they turned me in as a non-payment to ebay. Really nice people over there.

lol....back atcha We might be related way back there.

Well, now ebay informed me that I have one strike against me for non-payment of an auction. All I did was contest the payment with PayPal. Sheesh! I work really hard to keep 100% rating on there. I'm not hard to do business with. Really pretty easy. Send me what I paid for in a timely manner. Sometime mistakes happen. No biggy, but just do what it takes to correct it.

After I sent ebay copies of my responses and receipt for payment, Safe Harbor case #, Paypal case #, and their last note, they were "nice" enough to remove the strike. Why can't we file a strike agains a seller? I didn't even know there was such a thing as a strike. What a PITA.

Got some new spacers and stud extenders ordered from someone else and they've been great to deal with. Even wrote me back to make sure I had something for the back end. I told them I'm just gonna put some blocks and forget it, but I really appreciate them noticing and asking.

Guess I spoke too soon. Ordered the new ones from 4starresourcegroup.com on ebay. Without notice they cancelled the order and refunded my Paypal payment. I got the following note from them:

"Message From Seller:
Kevin,
We regret to inform you that we have cancelled this order due to an
open dispute you have with one of our ebay partners. We will not file any
feedback on this order unless it is given. Thank you.
4 Star Resource Group"

Isn't that nice? And even a veiled threat that if I turn them in with negative feedback they will do so in return. So I guess now I am a marked man all because I wanted the complete order I paid for. Sheesh! What will be next? I guess they'll hire a neighborhood kid to put sugar in my gas tank or something. Maybe they'll sneak in my house and put peanut butter in my underwear and dare me to leave negative feedback.

I guess I'll have to resort to building my own front spacers.

those are the idiots that make ebay any risk at all. look at their feedbacks for the past month.. 22 negatives. that's a crap load for anyone.. doesnt matter if you've made 1000 sales or 10. 22 in one month is horrible.

maybe get together with those other 21 people and file a report together to ebay?? let ebay know that he's threatening to leave neg. feedback because you might, and that you don't want to jeapordize your perfect rating over this crap. see if they can help out any with that part of the situation.

How hard is it for him to figure out he shippied the wrong thing and make it right? He sells them with the add-a-leaf and without the add-a-leaf. He apparently sent the wrong one.

This story is getting rediculous. I wouldn't want to buy from any of his authorized dealers or "partners".

Yeah, I think this makes a mockery out of the whole feedback rating. When you look through the complaints he even calls some idiots. There's a constructive selling approach. And he always has an excuse, but the story is the same: The customer did not receive the correct/complete order. What I wonder is this: How many others are out there afraid to leave honest feedback because of this guy? I bet there are a hundered others, in addition to the 22, who didn't file feedback because he would ruin their good rating.

you can do an order on my ebay name if ya want. I don't care about the ratings.. you can always do a followup on feedback and explain what really happened.
