HA!! Ebay seller!!

Bidding on a PA 3" BL on Ebay for $180.99. Shipping WAS $18.69. An hour or so later i go back to check it and the shipping is now $21.14...WTF!??? Emailed the guy but prob won't hear anything today though the auction ends in 3hrs or so. Let ya know the outcome. I'll let ya'll know more about the seller if he keeps jackin up stuff. maybe he'll honor the original shipping cost it said to begin with.

Thats what i thought NOW there's a shipping calculator, BUT that wasn't on there when i bid on it, or right after. It just said $18.69 shipping. i realize it's only a couple of dollors but its the principle of GOOD BUSINESS!!

well could be worse, could be 180 shipping, and 39.95 for the kit. seen alot of strange shipping rates on e-bay lately the price looks good untill you see the shipping price that includes ( i hope) a 24K gold box and overnight airmail.

Sometime people do that to get the attention of the auction and some people don't pay attention to shipping cost when they see something that cheap. Most people aslo make there (XTRA) money off of shipping by doing a flat rate.

Very true, and maybe I am wrong but I thought evil bay also charged you a % of the selling price for fee's, I dont think shipping is included in that so could be they are also trying to avoid large auction costs, and you are right, alot of people dont read the whole auction, get excited and bid away.

maybe its that I am in Canada, and have to watch for large shipping costs here or to make sure they will ship, but I always look at item, price, shipping, then details.

Yes thet do charge a % of the auction but i think the auction has to be at least $300? I'm not sure on the dollor amount but i know its up there pretty high before they take a %. average they just charge you a listing fee. the auction is almost over so im going to check it but i prob wont hear from the guy until tomm>.

That isn't true, they take out a % fee on any auction that sells.

See: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html

Yep your right ^^^^. I know they changed alot of stuff over the last yr or so. I don't really keep up with it. I just know i've done alot of small ticket items and they've always just charged me listing fees. i did sell a clarion double din head unit one time for like $700 and they took a % of that plus listing fees. Anyways got emailed back from the guy today. He doesn't know why it changed either. he said they just go by zip. So i payed it. Can't sit here and say it wasn't some clich on the reseting of the zip on the computer side and i can't really blame him. So i got it cheaper anyway's so i'll be merry and roll with it. Hell it only two dollors.....LOL...."I WANT MY TWO DOLLORS!!!" HAHAHA!!!
