Iggee faux-leather seat covers - review

They arrived today UPS. I wasted no time starting the intall, I didn't even change out of my sweaty work clothes (glad I didn't!)

Ease of install: 6 out of 10

There were some points in the install that had me wondering if I was REALLY supposed to be able to install these without removing the seats. Part of the complication is that the seat bottoms have elastic hooks to hold them tight, and the bottom of the Ranger seats are mostly smooth sheetmetal.

Overall Quality: 8 out of 10

These feel more like leather than the factory "faux-leather" rear seats in my roommate's mustang convertible. They're very well designed, with only one or two things I would change to make them fit better.

Value: 10 out of 10

For $99 I don't think theres a better looking or fitting seat cover on the market. I know there are better ones.. but they're all over $200, it seems.

There were a few downsides.. the cover for the center console 1) was designed for the older console without the cupholder 2) had a zipper to get into the compartment. I left it off completely, I'll probably get some blue or black vinyl and just re-upholster the top section of it.

They're a little wrinkly around the recliner lever, but not too bad:

(excuse the greasy marks, I did a terrible job of cleaning them with vinyl/leather cleaner)

The other area thats not as perfect as I think it could be is on the complex curve of the split-bench:

I think one more elastic strap and hook could have made this alot better, it kind of pulls out a little here. Maybe I'll sew some elastic on myself.

Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

And yes, I wanted blue, not red. Its my truck, I'll do what I want.

Yeah, I had initially thought about JYing some blue FX4 buckets and a center console, but they would still be cloth that would get stained and torn. This is alot more economical up front AND in the long run.

Those really look good. The color is great, and the seams are perfect.

It can't be any tighter or the seams would probably pop. Synthetic leather seams are like real leather; too much pull and they will tear. That's why OKoles are such a perfect fit; they can strech like crazy.

I'd just pop the top off the center console, and use the seatcover console material to reupholster it. Their should be enough to do the job, hopefully.

Is that sweat I see on the seat cover in the last pic?

I just bought some blue vinyl at JoAnn's Fabric for $2.50, I'm going to do the center console top with that. Its not sweat, its vinyl/leather cleaner that I completely missed (my bottle is old and won't spray anymore, only stream.)

They make them in black/tan and a variety of other colors.

They don't move around now, only time will tell if they will stretch.

OK, here it is, its not perfect, as its my first attempt at upholstering with vinyl, but I have enough vinyl to re-do it later if I get upset with the wrinkle near the cupholder.

For some reason in the flash photo the blue doesn't seem to match quite perfect.. in person the color is so close that I can't tell a difference. The "grain" of it is different than the seat cover, though.
