It's a Ranger Thing
It's a Ranger Thing
I was driving home from work, and the traffic was crazy cuz it was lunch time for the rest of the world, and I had to cross 5 lanes of traffic going both directions. I got in the suicide lane, and waited and waited and finally a guy in a white ranger let me in - we pulled up next to eachother in the lanes, and I told him about Ranger Forums and how he should join - after he told me he liked the tool box on my truck...lol Maybe he'll show up here, maybe not, but either way, I know it was definitely a Ranger thing, cuz no other people in this town let you on the road in their way!! Moral of my story? RANGERS AND THEIR OWNERS ROCK!! Makes me proud to own my Edge!!!
I had a guy in a 98-99 XLT Ranger chase me down to ask me about my tonneau cover. After I shouted out the checkerpro.com website the light turned green, so I didn't get a chance to tell him to check out Ranger-Forums. :(
I get the thumbs-up from other Edge drivers pretty regularly. :)

Around here they just point and talk amongst themselves in parking lots, but the Ford trucks all together seem to be good to eachother around here, wether it be an F250 or a Ranger, they'll usually let you in.
lol, i deffinitally agree with ranger people do like other people with rangers.
This one time my dads friend came over for something with his son who has a ranger. After he saw mine we were talking about our trucks for a hour or so. This was my first time i ever meet him and we talked for ever.
When i drive on the road, if someone wants to get in i sometimes let them, but always if they have a ranger...i donno its weird.
I guess you have to own a ranger to understand.

Rangers are horribly popular around here. Full-size Fords too. Just yesterday I walked out of work and saw three late model SD's lined up at the receiving dock of the building next door. My arm would probably fall off if I tried to waive at all the Rangers on the road.
Most seem to just drive them and have no or little interest in mod'ing them. Every once in a blue moon you see a Ranger that is not 100% stock, but it's kinda rare.

While we're talking about getting stopped by other people, the first day after I finished my lift, 2 different lifted jeeps stopped while I was filling up at the gas station, along with this car full of very attractive young ladies
One of the jeeps asked me about my truck, the lift, and rangers in general, because he wanted to get one for his kid. The other jeep wanted me to go off-roading (sadly I couldn't, had to be at work 30 min later), and the girls just wanted to hoot and holler like girls do, haha. Anyways, I've noticed also that other Ranger drivers will be much more generous to me on the streets than drivers of other vehicles!

I haven't had a person make a drastic move as to attempt to pull me over. But when I drive my Gen 2 I notice alot that I grab attention. Its a great feeling and to have a Ranger that people appreicate just as much as you do.
Well here in AL all the lifted ranger people are nice and the lowered rangers are just rice-ish there jerks, kinda weird. I had a guy in a Lexus ask me what year model it was, and did the paint-job come like that...Even all the guys at the local Ford place like what im doing w/ it, last time I was in there a guy ask me bout the site...
YAY! Todd's great!! He's the "guy in the white ranger!" The one who totally made my day! I figured since having a crappy day at the store and having to sit in the middle of the road, for like, ever, no one was gonna let me in, but he did! And now he's here, and he lives near by, so YAY FOR RANGERS AND NEW FRIENDS!!! :) :) :) (can ya tell he impressed me?!)
