Yes, you have to drill to mount the front.

What traction bars do is they keep the axle straight. So when you burn out you don't get wheel hop. When you go around a corner they keep the both tires on the ground. You don't get that one tire that wants to come off the ground. The biggest thing for me is that they keep my tired from hitting my rear fenders when I flex the rear end out.

so how dose this affect the rear from flexing? it almost looks like it works like a sway bar but to stop axle wrap.. will my rear still flex? or am i gona have a tire in the air if i drive over something 2 feet high.. i still want my rear to flex and plant both tires on the ground when im weelin..

The bars will work with pretty much any suspension setup as long as the axle stays in the same place. Like they wont work with the chevy shackles since it moves the axle(not sure if its forward or back).

The bars only affect flex slightly. I say they don't at all. Their design alows them to let the axle flex while holding it straight.

More than likely the bars are bigger than they need to be and they mount to the actual from not just the front spring mount. No thanks on drilling the frame. Also these frame mounted bars will more than likely not allow flex and they hang lower than anything so it would hit everything. Like this:

Well they have some adjustment to them but I don't know how much. I believe Bob is using them with the Chevy shackles but he had to mod them.

I'm going to try and somehow mount a camera under the bed and take video of my axle with and without traction bars installed.

hey i just got mine in the mail yesterday and i noticed they charged me 99.95 plus 10 bucks for shipping they also put down the wrong part number (a part number that dosent exsist) i put on the order form the price they had on the website wich was 89 bucks and they charged me 99.95.. i was not aware of this untill i got the invoice with the package yesterday, i thought they were going to call me to confirm the price of shipping and tax but they shipped it insted.. i think im going to call them today and see why i was charged 99.95 insted of the listed price of 89.00.. did anyone else have this problem?

#5306 includes both sets of brackets for $10 more. I would get it just in case you decide to swap to a 31 spline axle later.
