Has anyone test drove or bought a new 08 Focus???

i'm looking for reviews on the focus. i am thinking on trading in the truck or selling it to my uncle for it around town truck.

i sat in one today but it was to late to test drive it and the consumer reports report it as to be a good car and it gets 35mpg highway.

and i think the 4cyl has 140hp like my truck has lol

also do you think it could pull a 700lb jetski? i can pick up the toung on the traler with one arm and move it around my driveway easly. i would think it would do ok with it.

any reviews would be awesome.

o ya and it was the higher end one with the bright read 4dr black interior fully loaded, sun roof, fog lights, chrome tip and side vents and i think the 17"rims i got to check again.

ya even that ramp is not steep at all.

i saw somewhere that they can pull up to 1,000lb i mean i can move it around my driveway with one arm i would think a car can pull it just the brakes maybe.

and the car has 140hp my truck has 140lol

i see a lot of hondas pulling them around here and a couple acuras but haven not seen a focus

You could tow 1 jetski fine, just adjust your stopping distances. A focus with a jetski wont stop nearly as good (or as fast) as a ranger with a jetski would....

ya the braking thing would be the worst and the ramps are not bad that i go to so i dont think its that bad to pull it up.

i might test drive one today after i fix my truck.

My Mom Just bought one and it is the slowest car I have ever driven. I swear it was depressing. She gets 30 MPG which is better than there 05 Focus ST. My Mom likes it but I wouldn't touch one. Mybe a stick shift is better, but The motor suffers from a complete lack of power until you get real high in the RPM's and by then according to the computer you're getting less than 15 mpg.

^^^^John, doesn't the gas in Minnesota have ethanol in it? That will decrease mileage. My buddy has one here in Michigan and gets 40 on the highway.... (No ethanol in our summer gas, at least for name brand gas stations)

Yes it does E10, But here is SoDak I run 100% gas in my Explorer and I have not noticed 1 MPG difference in any direction. I really don't think 10% is enough ethanol to notice in your driving. I am telling you it has made no impact on any of my cars. Not to mention 35 MPG is the high Est. mileage. The low is 24. So with mixed driving I think it is reasonable to believe it would be around 30 MPG. If your buddy is getting 40 he should praise praise what ever creator he prays too because his car is a miracle, he's getting better than a civic hybrid gets ( My Buddy averages 38 MPG with his). Not to mention My mom drives it and she is a frugal driver. I swear she managed to get 22 MPG out of my Dads Expedition when she drove it. I have never gotten higher than 17 with mine.

The 2010 Focus will be the European version. I would wait for that.

i just test drove one and it was awesome i thought, it was a black coupe standard and i think it has enoufgh power it roasted the tires in 2nd gear shifting into it i had to let off the gas.

the ride was awesome, i am 6' 3" and i had plenty of leg room and had my friend sit in the rear and he had enough room to.

came with that Info computer for the MPG and stuff, 4 Speaker W/Subwoofer in the trunk, Moon roof, full power, 5 spd standard, sirus for 1 year free, mp3 hook up and 2 12v jacks.,

the thing road awesome i thought and my buddy thought so to and we both have only owned trucks.

i want to get a 4cyl ranger in the future but i need it for gas so i want something fun cheep and good gas.

I love the mazda 3's and 6's but they want like 18k when i can get this Focus for 14.5k before talking him down.

i got some pics ill try to get them on
