Rain-x Windshield Treatment

1 Attachment(s)
Now its not a ranger product, but ive gotta say the window treatment is PHENOMENAL. Like i drove 20 minutes in this.... with out turning on my wipers more then twice.

dont know how it works, but for the $5.69, ill be doing it to every vehicle i own.

yea that stuff is awesome

98liftedranger 04-23-2012 10:45 PM

Yup its good stuff. I should buy that instead of new wipers. ;)

06FordFX4 04-24-2012 12:21 AM

Bought new wipers and added rain x to the washer fluid ten minutes after I drove it off the lot! Works great.

99offroadrngr 04-24-2012 06:55 AM

whatttttt sweet, so it is a liquid then? I thought the glass was formed with the chemical woven in chemically so youd never have to reapply

ME00Stepside 04-24-2012 12:30 PM

I swear by Rain-X. Don't just put it in your fluid, or use the Rain-X washer fluid, get the stuff you apply on the windshield. Clean the p!ss out of it first, then apply a few coats following the directions. Use the Rain-X washer fluid to keep it up.

I've never tried the Nanotec stuff, but the Rain-X is so good if you put it on right, I can't imagine the Nanotec being worth 5 times the price.

FMD 04-24-2012 12:34 PM

Give the nonatech stuff, time. And it will be as cheap as RainX. RainX has a HUGE advertising campaign behind it, in the tens, if not hundreds of millions... Which translates into cheaper product costs.

meistreguy 04-24-2012 12:56 PM

Interesting demonstration but awful music!

Red_Ak_Ranger 04-24-2012 01:18 PM

I can't wait til they finally release it to the public. That stuff is amazing.

4jfarmer 09-19-2013 04:10 PM

I tried some rain x cleaner in my car this winter. Supposed to be the winter blend good to 0. Well it didn't get quite that cold and the stuff jelled and couldn't use the wiper washers till it warmed up some. Works great other times though.

Rain X

It's good stuff. Seeing this again reminds me that I need to RainX my Ranger windshield. Wipers don't work (yet) and RainX needs to be my "backup" till I get wipers working. Big drops And little drops slide right off!

russjd 05-07-2015 12:31 PM

Apply to outside rear mirrors 2 !

Also anti-fog for inside... https://www.rainx.com/product/glass-...ainx-anti-fog/

Smackhammer 05-07-2015 05:43 PM

Rain-X

Wash your truck and windshield, dry ( of course ) windex your windows twice (or more) apply Rain-X twice then try a new clean Microfiber cloth. Wa-La, it's like having a brand new truck ! Mikey Likes It ! Catch you on the flip side........Smackhmer

97rangerstepside 05-08-2015 03:04 PM

I love it, makes driving in the rain way better, all the windows in my truck get a rain-x treatment

New2Ford 11-30-2016 06:39 PM

Just another person saying its a must have. Do apply it to your windows. Don't do it in the washer fluid. If you wax it on let it dry and really scrub at it hard to get it off. Your entire windshield will be great. Save the washer fluid for an ice melt spray or bug off spray. They like to smear upwards in rain X.

skybrew 01-05-2017 01:38 PM

RainX is great stuff - I use it on all of our vehicles. I view it as a safety feature when driving in rain/snow/sleet/etc.

New2Ford 01-05-2017 02:30 PM

Welcome skybrew.

It is the best stuff ever. I love watching the water run away. Taking a bucket of water to it after you are done. Watching it just fly off. Amazing and cool.

Tricky Rick 03-28-2017 02:51 PM

You guys should look up Crystal Fusion... It is what I use. Supposedly strengthens the glass and I still king of doubt those claims even though my BMW fended off a huge rock I just knew would crash through my windshield when it hit!

But it is more hydrophobic than Rain-X and it cuts night time glare by 50%... For that reason alone it is worth it. Glare and rain are a crappy mix!

Eddie Money 10-22-2017 03:13 PM

I love rain x. But my current ranger had been pretty abused. When I finished the treatment it actually made it harder to see because my windshield had tons of microchips. It looked fine before but once it was polished it looked like my windshield had been sand blasted. I just had a new windsheild installed and ill more than likely treat it.
