Well I can tell you that it works. I have been saving gas buy watching my throttle position. I keep it at 28-30% all the time and I get 17-20 mpg highway now. Also I have a real temp gauge now. Best product I ever bought for the truck.

04blackedge 07-30-2008 08:50 PM

I need to get one, maybe next pay check.

whippersnapper02 07-30-2008 08:51 PM

Alon still has them on sale. Do it!!!!

RangerMuse 07-30-2008 08:52 PM

What does everyone here think?

Who has one and is it worth the 160 bucks?

Let me know your thoughts. . . .

whippersnapper02 07-30-2008 08:53 PM

It helps me get about 30-50 more miles per tank. I say it's worth it.

RangerMuse 07-30-2008 08:57 PM

30-50 is a lot, it would pay for itself in no time at all it seems

04blackedge 07-30-2008 08:59 PM

Alon and Wayne both have it for the same price.

How does the scanguage actually get you better gas mileage? all it does is indicate what your getting!

whippersnapper02 07-30-2008 09:00 PM

You just have to watch yourself. Stay at one throttle position on the freeway. If I come up to a hill I let the truck slow down and I move over to the slow lanes. Then I gain all the speed back and then some on the downhill. If it's a really steep hill and the truck slows down too much then I have to step on it.

i dont pay that much attention to MPG, but I love the thing. tells me everything i need to know about the trans, engine, etc..

It keeps you from using to much throttle when it's not needed.

Thorny073 07-30-2008 09:20 PM

thats one of my next purchases for my truck that for sure

Fx4wannabe01 07-30-2008 10:48 PM

I LOVE MINE!! Best little gadget ever!!

It doesn't get you better mileage...because its just a gauge. BUT....it shows you what your mileage is at that moment, and you get to learn just how much fuel is being used, when it doesn't need that much throttle to run perfectly fine. I GAINED 2mpg a tank after installing this neat little gadget!

Alon 07-30-2008 11:09 PM

I get better mileage with mine because i adjust my driving according to the mpg.

I now have free shipping on scangauges as the new offer, so start your savings now!
