This is a great site to go to to pick up parts for any type of vehicle. The site is very user friendly, they have great pricing, offer multiple brands, and have photos of pretty much all of the parts they sell.
I just bought a fuel pump for my truck that cost $50 less than Autozone would have charged me. The item was shipped to my house in 2 days, and was exactly what I needed. I told the guy at Autozone about it, he compared prices on a few items and said that Rock Auto had them beat with every part. Now he's buying his car parts from them.

ALWAYS MIND THE LITTLE TRUCK ICONS. THEY INDICATE ITEMS WHICH SHIP FROM A SAME WAREHOUSE.
OFTEN YOU CAN DIVIDE A LARGE ORDER INTO SEPARATE ONES SHIP FROM ONE WAREHOUSE.
IT CAN BE AN IRKSOME GAME BUT CAN SAVE A LOT OF SHIPPING CHARGES.

I am not overly happy about buying from Rock Auto.
I purchased an Overflow/Windshield washer combined tank for my 2003 Ranger.
The fit was good but the finish on the part was poor AND the Pump opening leaked AND it has blown out my Wiper System since installed.
I have not gone back to Rock Auto because it has been too long since I purchased it.
I am still involved in finding the actual problem for the System wide Wiper failure but thank God it doesn't rain much around here !
As much as I want to I do not think I will use them again... too much China Parts !

Chinese parts are where ever you go, at least here in Canada.
Crappy Tire and Lordco both sold me substandard brake drums.
One set was so out so balance I returned them, the other had too much material on the drum, couldn't get the new shoes on, plus there was pitting in the casting.
No I didn't go to Rock Auto after that, I went to my local auto wrecker and found some good used ones.
Rock Auto may not be perfect, but no one else is either, just sayin.

Yes, there's yet another angle to the RA game......
For some parts the number of choices is quite large.
Here you must shoot mid-pack or higher.
The dual reservoir bottle mentioned above sure can be cheaply copied but if you limit yourself to Dorman products you'll do OK.
Other names like ACDelco, Beck&Arnley, Standard, Motorcraft, NGK and others usually source from good suppliers.
Brake/suspension parts are the realm of name brands like Wagner, Moog or Centric. Here it's good to remember manufacturer's brand names and go to the dealer.
And of course there are times when dealing locally is the way to go. Alternators love to be "side-by-sided" on a parts store's counter.
RA is surely no panacea but the broad selection can be helpful.

The Tank was Dorman, there were two with almost the same price so I picked Dorman, but in this case, and as usual for me, I didn't get to putting it in right away, when I discovered the problem I called Rock Auto and the response was no you ant return it because of the Purchase Date was to far back.
I fixed the leak, or so I thought, put the tank back in place filled it and went for dinner, came back and the pump gasket was leaking now... give me a break. I silicon'd the area around the pump and left it to dry, came back and filled it and had to get some lumber. It started to rain, hit the Wiper Switch and nothing, no wipers, I only disconnected the Washer pump, WTF, now I'm pissed !
As to no power to the wipers, I checked the fuses by sight and with a multimeter, all good, I no need to dig deeper and can only thin there is going to be a lot of disassembly, which I will need to do, Mechanics around here cost $110/hour... NO COMMENT !
Anyway, IF at all possible do not buy from Rock Auto unless you know for sure it is US Made, otherwise it is just another Junk Parts Store !

Three cheers for the USA sourced materials.
But there are GREAT parts made elsewhere too.
AFE switches and sensors (Spain)
Deeza suspension parts (Turkey)
All the large plastic stuff (Canada, UK and Poland)
Lamps, hoses and fittings (France, Italy and the Netherlands)
Germany has been known to put out a part run or two.
Israel makes some small e-board and battery paired parts
It ain't easy but you can navigate the waters.

Be careful & check your order Immediately! I ordered an idle air valve for my 1994 ranger but didn't get around to working on it for a couple of months. When I opened the box, it contained an idle air for my 4.6 mustang. I went to the website to return it & had to deal with their "no human available" stupidly programmed program. I told it the part didn't fit. It asked if I owned a 1994 ford ranger. I said "yes." The program displayed "this part does not fit a 1994 Ford Ranger. No return is available." And then it took the item off my purchases list. There is no way to contact a human at Rock Auto. Buy at your own risk.
