yes a 1-2" crank you can fit them on your truck and NO it doesnt viod warrenty

 

you have 16x7 wheels with like a 4" backspacing and thats sucks IMO. also forget stock crap. plus 16" tires cost more!

had death in family and family lives in Ohio so made a trip Sunday-Wednesday 700 there 700 back then around town so came out to be bout 1800...

 

No the 10.5s will not stick out much if at all. My 12.5s barely made it out past the fender flares. Personally, I think it's the perfect amount of "stick-out"-ness. Granted you do have a flareside, so you dont have fender flares, but the wider tires will help offset the diminished brake performance of taller tires, and will also be better off-road. And they'll look better once you lift your truck

Greater rolling mass due to larger tires will diminish brake performance. Wider contact patch of the tires will add more frictional force will help make up for that extra rolling mass.

 

heard this from a friend of mine saying that if u get a bigger diameter of tires on ur truck it voids the warranty cuz it puts strain on the tranny, and axle....

my friends mom works at Ford so im gunna see if that is the deal she might just let it slide..but as now..

im gettin the 265s keeping stock wheels...

gunna get new wheels when i go bigger...like 33s or 35s..

 

The problem is w/ the brakes, not the contact patch. More rolling or unspring weight will always yeild a loss in performance.
Warranty issues almost always seem to vary by dealer. One dealer will let stuff slide while the next won't. I have no idea how to tell. I think running oversized tires would probably always give a dealer an excuse not to honor a warranty if they feel like it. Running stock equipment does not give them this opportunity.

 

Yes, the loss in brake performance is inevitable, but isn't there any benefit in the wider contact patch? I'm sure I've read that in several places before.

 

I called the dealership to ask my friends mom and she wasnt there im gunna call her tomorrow...i hope it doesnt cuz i want my bigger tires..now if it does..

ill just get the same size tires but get some A/Ts...

And what drives the decision between choosing 15" vs. 16"? For 15", those look pretty big...

 

The truck on this page is lifted, the same truck is on the first page with no lift and the same size tires.

Rim size is all about personal preference, but generally 15" rims will be cheaper both for the rims and tires.

i went to put my friends bfg mud terrain up next to my truck and it looked way to huge!!!!! its a 265/75-16 and it looks like it would barely fit.

 

dude....dude....it fits....remeber its egual on both sides when mounted....
there about oh say 100 or so members with them including myself. they fit. also 285x75x16 fits with a tbar crank
